Today's main objective during rehearsal was locking in the rhythmic groove between our two guitars. For this session, I cosplayed Hamasaki Mahoro, while my partner took on Kotohira Nagi. To stay aligned with character lore, we arrived early at the rehearsal stage. I changed into a gray long-sleeved cropped top featuring crisscross lace-up cutout accents along the sides and arms, zipped halfway down the neck, secured below with a black leather belt. The wig was styled in long, straight grayish-brown locks, with neat blunt bangs trimmed just past the eyebrows. The makeup prioritized deep, structured eye contours paired with light greenish-gray contact lenses and orange-red lipstick. Around my neck, I wore a black choker alongside a metallic necklace bearing a heart pendant. These fine accessories demanded continuous vigilance throughout rehearsals, as wide, sweeping movements easily knocked them out of alignment.

My partner's styling embodied her character flawlessly: short navy-blue bob hair with blunt fringe, pinned on the right with a white ribbon bow clip. She wore a dark, horizontally striped mock-neck short-sleeved tee layered beneath a crisp white jacket. Holding our electric guitar and bass, we posed before the venue backdrop board. Cold, slate-blue downlights washed over the stage, glinting sharply off the metallic hardware of the instruments. I played a dark-bodied electric guitar slung over a black strap. Dialing in an authentic playing stance required keeping arms suspended and engaged; pressing fingers tightly against the fretboard left my wrists and shoulders aching over extended takes. Between balancing amplifier levels and testing pedal effects, my partner rested against nearby racks during tuning pauses or helped smooth out my wig whenever rapid head turns jostled it askew.

To honor the dynamic of their dynamic sisterly vibe, we preserved that subtle canonical interpersonal distance even during off-camera breaks. Between rehearsal sets, we grabbed our camera for casual selfies, extending an arm forward to hunt for optimal framing while the orange camera strap dangled freely. In the resulting shots, resting my hand on her shoulder as we smiled into the lens naturally captured the candid, lived-in energy of backstage life, even with an arm partially veiling the foreground. For a playful touch, I accented the photo corners with chibi stickers matching our styling palettes.

Rehearsals ran longer than anticipated, as instrumental synchronicity demands razor-sharp mutual chemistry. Every time the drumbeats kicked in, we snapped instantly into performance mode. Equipment littered the rehearsal floor against display boards printed with complex graphics, accompanied by a lone potted plant in the corner. Standing for continuous hours in a cropped midriff design left my waist slightly chilly, yet neither of us compromised our poised posture before the camera. Throughout the run-through, shifting floor marks ensured neither silhouette was obstructed by the bulky instruments from audience and camera vantage points.

This session poured primary focus into stage expressiveness. From fine-tuning string tension to synchronizing body sways with each beat, every micro-detail was polished iteratively. Stage lights gave off palpable heat against the skin, yet our collective focus remained entirely locked on the music itself. Wrapping up today's run-through granted us a clearer grasp of stage blocking and instrumental capture. Moving forward, we will dissect the rehearsal footage to refine each movement and deliver peak performance condition for the final stage.
