Putting on this classic sailor uniform of Shiyoko and standing by the sea truly feels incredibly lightweight. This shoot was located at the pier and the beach, where the atmosphere brought by the blowing sea breeze perfectly matches the character. The wig was the key focus—long, light-blue curly hair paired with a dark-green ribbon bow. It took quite a while to style the layers at the edges of the hair strands to get this fluffy and natural look. The tailoring of the uniform and pleated plaid skirt is very crisp; when walking in the sea breeze, the hem naturally flutters, instantly bringing out that weightless feeling of student days.

Honestly, portraying Sakiko Toyokawa from BanG Dream! during the Shiyoko period is a very special experience for me. During that time, she was filled with a pure brilliance, carrying a sense of untainted innocence untouched by hardships, which stands in stark contrast to her stance later shown in Ave Mujica. In front of the lens this time, I specifically caught those quiet, or perhaps inadvertently melancholy, small details, such as squatting by the shore daydreaming in contemplation, or quietly gazing at the sea from behind.

Shooting by the sea is actually not easy, especially under the harsh midday sun where the ocean reflection is extremely bright. Fortunately, the photographer professionally helped block out a lot of awkward glare, ensuring the quality of facial light and shadow in the final photos. The dark brown leather handbag also has great texture and served as a major bonus prop. I managed to capture a few more dynamic shots before it grew dark; the moment I ran and the skirt hem gently lifted, it felt as though the character's exclusive sense of youth and narrative were beautifully frozen in time.
