[CCcos] Returning to the Center of the Checkered Pattern in a Deep Blue Train

Prepping this CCcos teaser for Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion around a chessboard banquet theme was far more intricate than expected. The deep blue gown was custom-tailored in a substantial satin weave that draped with elegant weight, accented by gilded geometric diamond heat-transfer prints across the train. The focal centerpiece is the back: a metallic chain cascades along the spine, anchored by a sapphire gemstone with golden filigree threading the waistline. To highlight back definition, I wore the Backless dress directly flush against the skin without extra layers, creating a tactile harmony between raw metal and flowing silk.

The custom-dyed lime-green wig was trimmed with a defined contour around the face, with razor-layered ends to keep the back silhouette clean yet voluminous. The makeup featured a cool porcelain base with minimal blush, using contouring to sculpt the scapulae and back muscles alongside subtle collarbone highlights. Staged at the Light Island studio, the monochrome Checkered pattern floor and symmetrical Roman pillars lent immense perspective and geometric tension to the framing.

Photographer Nord dialed in balanced lighting to separate the deep navy dress against the stark white walls and tiles, cultivating a cool, aristocratic tone. Displaying back details required repeated adjustments in kneeling posture to keep the spine straight and the chain centered. The sprawling train was folded carefully into crisp ripples to avoid looking bulky, letting the gilded motifs catch specular glints that formed a bold complementary contrast with the green hair. Retouching preserved fabric textures within a chilly palette, setting the curved silhouette against the rigid grid of the giant chessboard to evoke C.C.'s detached, enigmatic aura.
