[Cheshire Cosplay] Unreleased Draft Western-style Clothing from Azur Lane: Dreamy Interweaving of Blue and White Lace with Light and Shadow

The original intention of shooting this unreleased draft Western-style clothing for Cheshire was entirely sparked by being moved by the unique blue-and-white color scheme and intricate Lace design in the draft illustration. Compared to her classic in-game looks, this Western-style clothing feels lighter and more romantic, with a touch of afternoon languor.

To restore the draft design as much as possible, a lot of thought went into costume preparation. The halter off-the-shoulder top half nicely accentuates the collarbone lines, paired with a delicate choker around the neck, preserving the shipgirl's heroic spirit while adding a maidenly softness. The skirt hem features layered thin tulle and soft Lace; the petticoat's puffiness is just right, supporting the skirt's silhouette without feeling overly heavy. The waist straps and metallic thigh ring are highly recognizable details in the overall outfit.

The shoot took place in an indoor setting featuring vintage wooden-framed glass windows. Soft natural light filtering through window frames cast a gentle warm tone over the entire frame. Sitting on the wooden floor accompanied by yellow and white fresh flowers scattered by my feet created a serene ambiance reminiscent of being in a secret garden. This ambient lighting was particularly suited for expressing the refined feel of leaving combat behind and returning to daily life in the draft design.

During the actual shoot, the wide white sun hat and silver sequined high heels presented the main challenges. The wide brim cast noticeable shadows on my face if I tilted my head even slightly, requiring repeated adjustments to head tilt angles so my face was fully illuminated. The high heels had extremely high heels, so in a sitting pose I had to balance extending my legs gracefully while maintaining body balance to ensure the skirt's hem layout didn't get messy—a small test of body control. As for the wig, a light blue-green gradient hair color was selected; the hair strands were light and layered, with gentle curls fitting the overall soft and languid atmosphere.

Looking at the overall visual effect, the cool elegance of the blue and white Lace Western-style clothing formed a wonderful color complement with the vibrant flowers. Thin straps on the arms and ribbons fluttering in the wind added dynamic motion, keeping the stationary sitting posture from looking stiff. Draft designs often aren't chosen as final in-game implementations due to overly intricate designs or slight deviations from standard art styles, but it is precisely this uncommon secondary creation perspective that endows the character with a more diverse and intimate charm.

After shooting, post-processing minimized heavy skin smoothing and stacked filters, preserving authentic skin texture and fabric weave to emphasize the delicacy of the draft costume itself. As an unreleased draft Western-style clothing look for Cheshire from Azur Lane, this attempt overall achieved the anticipated quiet, gorgeous, and slightly mysterious visual effect.
