This formal gown photoshoot for St. Louis from Azur Lane is finally ready to share. To align with the casino dinner theme, we put extensive thought into the set design. The wine cabinets lined with bottles in the backdrop, the vintage diamond-lattice wallpaper, and the warm yellow chandelier overhead were all curated to evoke a nostalgic, lavishly intoxicating atmosphere. The silver sequined slip dress is the core of this look—the fabric has an elegant drape that reflects fine, shimmering glints with every subtle shift under the lighting. The plunging neckline and high slit cut are demanding to pull off, requiring careful physical conditioning before the shoot to achieve an effortless yet visually dynamic presence on camera. The wig features a vibrant, high-saturation bright blue bob with a gentle wave, paired with blue colored contacts; the makeup focused heavily on the eyes and lips, with subtly winged eyeliner adding a touch of alluring charm. For jewelry, multi-layered metallic necklaces and tassel earrings were chosen to pile on luxurious detail.
Throughout the shoot, the scattered props across the table left the deepest impression. To enrich the composition, we spread playing cards, customized banknotes, and gold coins across the table, complete with wine poured into stemware goblets. For the frames reclining among the pile of cash, I had to completely relax and yield my posture to the surface while maintaining sharp control over my gaze. Biting the gold coin was an idea conceived spontaneously on set; to keep it looking effortless and natural, we tested multiple angles, and I am very satisfied with the final result.
A casino setting heavily relies on capturing the right mood. To keep postures from appearing rigid, we wove numerous relaxed, languid elements into the gestures—such as resting my chin in one hand while leaning against the table, or perching on the edge while leaning forward holding banknotes. Posing in clear high-heeled sandals while crouching or sitting on the smooth tabletop made the footing quite slick, requiring a tight core to stabilize my balance while sustaining an untroubled, confident expression. Behind every final photo lies countless unseen adjustments and trials. I truly adore this set's environment and lighting—the dim, moody atmosphere paired with warm lights flattered the texture of the sequined dress, Stockinged long legs, and skin beautifully. I hope everyone enjoys this endeavor to capture the styling and atmosphere in full.
