[Cirno cosplay] Touhou Project's Ice Fairy cafe adventure

The Cirno cosplay costume for this shoot has very rich details. The entire Lolita-style dress includes multiple layers of lace, plaid splicing, as well as strawberry and heart decorations. The blue wavy trim of the skirt hem needed to be carefully ironed with a flat iron before the shoot to maintain a perfect fluffiness. The wig was trimmed with blunt bangs and given a basic styling, paired with blue contact lenses and red eye makeup around the eyes to restore the character's traits. To make the pointed elf ears and ice and snow wings look more natural, the wings used a translucent material paired with glitter, which reveals a blue-purple polarized light under the sunlight.

The shooting location was chosen as an outdoor white wooden house cafe pavilion. The first photo chose the posture of sitting on a high stool holding a tray, because the layers of the skirt hem can fully unfold from this angle, and the white white stockings paired with black Mary Jane shoes can visually well extend the leg lines. The outdoor light was very strong; when shooting in the shade of the trees, a reflector was needed to fill light on the face so that the face would appear translucent against the dark background with the back to the light. To increase the sense of interaction, actions like holding a retro telephone handset and a blue snowflake staff were added during the shoot, making the frame more than just simple standing poses.

Actually, the weather that day was quite muggy, and walking outdoors wearing multiple layers of petticoats and long puff sleeves made it very easy to sweat. To ensure the wig wouldn't collapse, I kept cooling down with cold water spray during rest intervals. The part that took the most effort for this set of photos was background control, because there were many passersby and sundries around the cafe, and most of the time was spent finding angles to avoid crowds and keep the frame clean. The outdoor lighting and scene restoration this time were both very satisfying, and the presented atmosphere also fit that feeling of a little bit stubborn yet cute from the original work.
