[Cheshire Cosplay] Azur Lane Lunar New Year Greetings: A Room Full of Festive Atmosphere

This set of Azur Lane Lunar New Year Cheshire Cosplay photos was shot in a Chinese-style set full of festival ambiance. Before shooting, I repeatedly confirmed the costume details. The entire look adopts the classic New Year color palette of red, white, black, and gold, integrating modified qipao design elements. The upper half features a white halter-neck top paired with sheer patterned black fabric across the chest, while the red-and-gold embroidered short skirt makes the overall style look gorgeous and exquisite. The white plush shawl accent adds winter festival warmth and balances the lightness of the attire.

For hair and makeup, the iconic teal-and-green short wig was layered carefully around the bangs. On my head, I wore an oversized ruffled white headpiece with eye-catching large red flowers on both sides, focusing visual attention perfectly on the face. The red tassel earrings nicely echoed the red elements in the costume.

For this shoot, I specially paired lace-trimmed semi-sheer White stockings. Under the studio lights, this material highlighted leg contours while enhancing the overall silhouette's fullness. To complement the outfit, I prepared a gold ingot prop, along with red paper boxes inscribed with "Gong Xi Fa Cai" and bright red flower petals scattered across the floor.

The set dressing featured plenty of Chinese elements, with red couplets pasted on antique black wooden doorframes hung with festive folding fans. A white plush rug covered the floor, creating a strong, visually striking contrast between red and white. Through the powerful red-and-white contrast paired with soft lighting, the whole composition achieved a transparent, clean, and festive texture.

Two main posing styles were planned for the shoot. One was the lazy reclining pose in the first photo, relaxing the upper body while naturally extending the legs upward to express Cheshire's lively and playful personality through an effortless posture. The other was the upright sitting pose in the second photo, holding up the gold ingot in one hand and looking directly into the camera, which better showcases the overall costume details while visually elongating body proportions.

Because of the Lunar New Year costume theme, every detail in the set—including the scattered red envelopes and the moon-gate background—was designed to highlight the festive holiday atmosphere. The shooting process went very smoothly; the gaffer's lighting setup brought out the texture of the White stockings and the fluffiness of the fur embellishments brilliantly.

Recreating this Anime cosplay piece came with challenges, such as adjusting the headpiece and wig so they wouldn't block my line of sight and keeping the golden ingot balanced in hand, but the final photos successfully captured the desired festive spirit. Overall, it felt like a wonderful fusion of 2D character features and traditional Chinese Lunar New Year flavors.
