Today, I'm sharing the photoshoot of this Genshin Impact Lynette cosplay set. The design of this outfit is remarkably intricate: a white long-sleeved shirt paired with a leather corset vest featuring red color-blocked panels on the front, along with numerous leather straps and metallic buckles that took quite some time to adjust when putting on. The oversized blue bow and fluffy tail on the back are the highlights of the styling. The wig is pale blonde, and once paired with the animal ears, that distinctive Anime cosplay presence immediately came to life.

For props, I brought along a magic wand and a black top hat. The brim of the hat is accented with blue stripes, echoing the blue lining of the costume. To showcase Lynette's Magician cosplay elements, we designed several distinct poses on set, such as pointing the wand upward or holding the top hat in an inviting gesture. When standing on the pedestal base, to bring out a three-dimensional depth, the movements were broader—tiptoeing on one foot or lifting a leg slightly, which also better accentuated the leg lines and the Black stockings. The pleated skirt features layered blue and black tiers along the hem, creating a beautiful silhouette when raising a leg.

Regarding makeup, close attention was paid to the eye makeup, and colored contacts were chosen to match the character's design closely. The teardrop beauty mark on the left cheek was deliberately applied, as it is one of the character's iconic traits. Paired with black combat boots and Black stockings, the overall look took on a touch of techwear-inspired edge.

The lighting setup utilized a pure white background and soft diffused light; the dark pedestal contrasted sharply against the backdrop, evoking the aesthetic of a display figurine. To capture this tactile texture during the shoot, the photographer invested considerable thought into lighting placement, striving to showcase the leather sheen of the outfit while keeping the white background from blowing out. When adjusting postures, considering center of gravity and balance, while I appeared to stand steadily, my feet inside the combat boots actually had to exert subtle core stability.

For leather garments, it's essential to smooth and steam them before shooting to avoid awkward wrinkles. When wearing a corset and wig, ensuring comfort during adjustments is equally important, as long shooting sessions can quickly lead to fatigue. While posing, making good use of props like the magic wand and top hat not only enriches the frame, but also resolves the awkwardness of not knowing where to place your hands. The entire shoot went smoothly, and the resulting photos achieved our envisioned aesthetic, capturing the character's distinctive presence.
