This official Elbing cosplay shoot was set in an indoor real-scene studio filled with an autumn atmosphere. To restore the character's lightweight feel of her white hair, the wig was styled to be exceptionally fluffy. Paired with the golden maple leaf hair accessories on both sides, it is visually very layered. For the costume, a modified off-the-shoulder design with white gold-thread embroidery was selected, combining classical elements with lightweight tailoring so that the range of movement would not be restricted. During the shoot, a large amount of smoke effects were used, combined with warm soft light, hoping to create a hazy and narrative-driven atmosphere that echoes the red maples and ancient scrolls in the background.

The props were paired with a hand-painted round fan and scrolls filled with calligraphy, which enhances the visual durability of the frame in close-up shots. For the makeup, I tried this slightly contrasting heterochromia colored contacts pairing, plus a bright coral red lip color, which brightened the white base makeup overall. Since there are many costume details, some adjustments were made to the angles during the shoot, such as turning sideways, lying back, and half-body compositions holding props, trying my best to let every image display the embroidered patterns of different parts of the clothing.

In fact, shooting this style of Ancient style photography tests not only the lighting but also the on-site scene arrangement. We put a lot of thought into the arrangement of the flocked maple leaves to present a framing effect at the edge of the screen, increasing the sense of depth. Not too many changes were made in post-processing; it mainly preserved the original warm yellow tone, hoping to present a visual effect that is soft and precise.

For this look, I specially left a bit of detail in the dyed bangs, along with the iconic heterochromia, hoping to stay closer to the Elbing impression in everyone's mind. Every time I cosplay a character with such specific attribute settings from Azur Lane, I need to repeatedly communicate details with the hair and makeup stylist beforehand; nothing can be careless, from the direction of the hair strands in front of the forehead to the bow tie rope at the waist. Although my hands were a bit sore from posing with the fan and scroll on the day of the shoot, seeing the light and shadow illuminate the gold-thread embroidery on the clothes in the final photos made it feel entirely worth it.
