This set of long-haired Rem convention photos, taken at the TCD Guochao Anime Carnival, is finally organized today. We chose the long-haired version of her character design for this shoot, and the on-site live-capture results at the anime convention turned out quite ideal.

For hair and makeup, styling the long-haired Rem wig was the primary focus. To maintain the light purple hue and the sleek drape of long straight hair, I applied a smoothing treatment to the ends and anchored the style a day in advance. The signature fringe veiling one eye required precise placement; otherwise, walking around would easily obstruct my vision. When wearing the blue contact lenses, due to their larger diameter, the eye makeup heavily accentuated reddish eyeshadow to boost the character's distinct recognition.

The costume is a classic black-and-white maid outfit featuring abundant lace and ruffled details. The structured corset top provides solid support, but putting it on was quite complex—zipping and lacing required two people working together. Since the venue's air conditioning couldn't reach every corner, wearing long sleeves and a heavy voluminous skirt made it stiflingly hot underneath, causing me to break into a sweat with slight movement. The skirt hem is very broad; lifting the skirt demanded careful control over arm tension and angles to flatter waist and leg lines before the lens. Layered beneath the skirt were black stockings, and I had to pay close attention to the ankle lines while walking, maintaining an upright, poised posture.

During the shoot, the photographer chose a lower camera angle, utilizing a wide-aperture lens to blur the cluttered crowd in the background, keeping sharp focus on the subject and intricate costume details. We tried the skirt-lifting pose multiple times, balancing the fit of the corset, the volume of the skirt, and the display of leg lines to achieve an effortless, natural look. The convention hall had numerous overhead lights causing harsh glare, requiring smart adjustments to my standing position to prevent blown-out highlights. Fortunately, the final shots turned out wonderful—every tier of lace, the small black bow on the choker, and the white flower ornament atop my head were captured with crisp clarity.

The atmosphere at the anime convention was fantastic, and the surrounding attendees were incredibly welcoming. Although standing in this cosplay costume for most of the day left my feet aching from high heels and continuous standing, immersing oneself in the character easily melted away the discomfort amidst the lively energy. As convention photos of long-haired Rem, this set preserves my interpretation of the character's intricate details while keeping treasured memories from the TCD Guochao Anime Carnival. I hope these photos convey the dedication and heart poured into this cosplay.
