The material of this combat suit is high-gloss reflective; it fits extremely tight and gets stuffy, making slipping into it quite an ordeal—it even required someone to help pull the edges to prevent pinching marks. The suit is primarily a color-block combination of red, white, black, and purple. The red gloves and purple over-the-knee boots fit snugly with ultra-high precision, but with the heels being so tall and thin, walking felt nearly impossible at first.
Before the shoot, I mainly coordinated with the photographer on how to match various poses. The red, white, black, and purple palette already carries strong visual punch, which, paired with the reflections from the mirrored floor, provided ample creative room. To embody the character's aura, we experimented with numerous poses—such as stepping sideways onto a white folding chair with tiptoes touching down to elongate the leg lines, which, combined with holding the spear prop, brought out a cold, confident presence.
Today's Pose sharing focuses on several physically demanding poses. That frontal squat with hands raised upward required opening the shoulders and leaning back to contour with the chest lines of the suit, all while managing my center of gravity; my thighs were burning after shooting it. The inverted pose shot actually utilized shoulder support stabilized by core strength with legs pointing straight up—the glossy reflection paired with the floor mirror reflection was a major highlight, though holding an inversion in high heels was truly a test of endurance.
The downside of this suit is sweating intensely: because it has that completely airtight latex-like feel, we had to pause frequently to vent heat. Furthermore, this material easily catches creases and dust; once dirty, the gloss turns matte, so we were extra cautious on-site, regularly wiping it down with damp cloths. To convey a look that is both sensual and powerful, a lot of thought went into composition and lighting from every angle. For instance, the kneeling shot looking back required concealing the hip and thigh lines at a tricky angle.
Sharing these pose experiences is meant to provide helpful references for everyone's photoshoots. The secret to long-legged poses is never laying legs flat; you must cross or bend the knees to break vertical stiffness, working with lens perspective for optimal results. The combat suit inherently exerts strong constriction; if movements are overly broad or awkward, unsightly wrinkles will form, making posing virtually hard physical labor where smoothing every inch of fabric leaves you exhausted. But seeing the final photos made all the effort worthwhile. Additionally, the grip position on the spear prop is crucial: holding it too close obscures the chest emblem, while holding it too far loses that sense of power. Although the shooting process was demanding, capturing this outfit with the texture it deserves was a truly special experience.
