[Arturia cosplay] Arturia from Arknights, a dark Gothic visual presentation - Image 1

Today I am cosplaying Arturia from Arknights, also known as Viviana. To showcase the character's unique mystery and sense of oppression, I did a lot of preparation work in styling and shooting. Let's start with the wig and makeup. To match Arturia's temperament, I wore a long straight black wig with blunt bangs, and topped it with a black crown of thorns. This combination tests facial contours quite a bit, so in terms of makeup, I heavily deepened the eye contours, elongated the outer corners of the eyes, and paired it with red lip makeup to make the features look more three-dimensional. When shooting, pairing it with a slightly downward-looking angle naturally exudes a sense of detachment. The costume part is the core of this styling. The white coat has a very crisp cut, with strap designs on the shoulders and cuffs, and gold line trims and metal buckles give the costume a great texture. A black multi-layered pleated neckerchief is tied at the neckline, seamlessly connecting the coat and the dark inner wear. Worn on the hands are long black glossy leather gloves, featuring gold embroidery textures on the back of the hands and edges. The lower body is a dark pleated skirt, paired with black stockings and black glossy high heels. These elements combined create a strong visual impact. To highlight the texture of the costume and stockings, the shooting location was chosen in a vintage indoor setting. The background features Gothic stained glass windows, heavy dark curtains, and mottled stone pillars. The main prop is a black buttoned tufted leather sofa; the white costume sitting on the black sofa forms a sharp color contrast. The reflection of the black marble on the ground also adds to the transparency of the frame. In terms of lighting, the main light source comes from the front side, illuminating the face and upper body, while the background is pushed very dark, leaving only a few warm light sources at the edges. This lighting method makes the contrast between light and dark in the image more intense, highlighting the subject's primary position. During the actual shooting process, maintaining the stability of the posture consumed a lot of physical strength. Sitting on the leather sofa required keeping the legs crossed the entire time, and for better lines, the toes also needed to be slightly tensed. Both hands wearing leather gloves crossed on the lap was not only to match the character's demeanor, but also to better showcase the details of the gloves. To capture the ideal angle, we tried many top-down and side camera positions. Because the wig was very long, care had to be taken when sitting on the sofa to avoid messiness. The entire shooting process required intense concentration, not only controlling facial expressions, but also constantly watching out for wrinkles in the costume. I really like this contrasting presentation method; the pairing of the white uniform with black leather items, coupled with the dark background, makes the entire work visually rich. The combination of stockings and high heels also adds to the overall sexy tension while retaining the character's ruthless trait. Through the superposition and adjustment of these details, I hope to present the uniquely visual side of Arturia.
