[Kasugano Sora cosplay] Quiet Moments Under Yosuga no Sora

The retouching for this Kasugano Sora cosplay photo set is finally complete, and the overall outcome turned out very stable. The tailoring of the White shirt is quite unique, featuring ruffled edges and a long hemline, with its folds appearing remarkably crisp under outdoor natural light. Paired with a black checkered skirt and Black pantyhose, the visual presentation is clean and sharp, faithfully recreating the character's aloof yet delicate vulnerability.

The makeup focused heavily on the reddish gradient around the eyes, utilizing pinkish eyeshadow to evoke a melancholic and subtly yandere atmosphere. Once the silver wig styled into twin-tails was worn, the character's signature aura came to life immediately. Black ribbon bow accessories adorned both sides, creating a striking color contrast against the white hair.

The chosen shoot venue was a park with a fountain, where the natural light around 4 PM was pleasantly soft. The first set of compositions utilized the fountain's pool basin as a foreground—sitting on the edge effectively elongated leg lines, while facing the lens directly made the eye contact more engaging. In the second set, I leaned against a tree trunk with coarse bark, turning sideways to gaze up at the sky and utilizing the natural tree texture alongside European-style background architecture to add depth and layering to the scene.

For props, I selected a grey rabbit plush doll featuring distinctive stitched eyes. Holding it in my arms or placing it beside me during the shoot helped me immerse into the character's psychological state, preventing poses from looking stiff.

During post-processing, excessive skin smoothing was avoided to retain skin translucency and the texture of the Black pantyhose. Slightly dimming the background accentuated the subject while making the White shirt pop even brighter. The overall palette leans cool, anchored by white, black, and grey without distracting colors. To closely match the serene and slightly lonely atmosphere of Yosuga no Sora, I deliberately avoided exaggerated movements, focusing on tranquil sitting and standing postures.

This ACG outdoor location photoshoot was a wonderful experience—from costume prep and prop selection to communicating with the photographer, every step aimed to realize the vision in my mind. I hope this photo set conveys the character's distinct quiet and peaceful essence.
