Choosing an outdoor playground for this shoot stemmed from wanting to clash the environment's playful childish vibe with the character's contrasting trait of appearing youthful yet insisting on being an authoritative instructor from Shanhaijing Senior Secondary School in Blue Archive. From costume to hair and makeup, everything revolved around this cute tension.

First, let's talk about the costume design. This modified Chinese-style top, featuring alternating dark blue and white vertical stripes, is extremely eye-catching. Its cut is relatively fitted while retaining loose sleeve cuffs printed with white botanical vine patterns. Red Chinese frog buttons on the chest and cutout details on the collar add traditional charm and a focal point amid the cool color palette. The bottom features a layered white short skirt, adding a touch of cool elegance to the overall cute silhouette. The accompanying backpack and long red tassels dangling from the side enhance dynamic movement, making it very photogenic.

For the wig, I chose smooth, sleek silver-white long hair. The volume was made quite thick with anti-frizz processing, so it reflected a soft sheen under natural outdoor sunlight. The animal ears on top feature a black-and-pink palette, creating a color contrast with the White hair, animal ears styling for an extra lively touch. The transparent halo prop overhead was key to the look; by tweaking angles, we blended it with ambient light reflections to create a subtle dreamy vision hovering between reality and 2D.

The location was set in a playground area near the community. Green curved metal climbing frames and blue-and-orange plastic surfacing formed vibrant, bright background color blocks. A playground setting fits her character setting in Blue Archive perfectly—even when putting on a serious front while carrying that white tactical toy gun, a natural innocence still shines through. Sunlight was ample during the outdoor shoot; to achieve a soft, refreshing effect, the photographer used high-key lighting to soften contrast, giving the images a slightly hazy, dreamy soft tone.

For prop interactions, besides the weapon, I brought a meme-worthy long orange plushie. Cradling it while sitting on a swing naturally showed the soft side of her heart. Conversely, when posing with the gun, I intentionally composed my expression to craft the image of a serious instructor. Switching between these two contrasting states is the most charming part of this look. Conveying this subtle emotion through the lens depends not only on costume, makeup, and props, but also on sensing the surrounding atmosphere at the moment of shooting.

The texture of shooting props was also crucial: white firearm parts and red-and-black painted accessories were crisp and detailed. Black-and-white color-blocked platform sneakers on my feet injected modern casual style into the look, preventing the outfit from feeling overly rigid while stabilizing visual gravity when squatting or sitting. Throughout this Cosplay daily life shoot, we showcased the charm of this look from various angles—from standing, holding weapons, sitting on swings, to squatting poses. The photographer's composition paid great attention to background depth, letting the lines of playground equipment frame the subject beautifully.
