For Comicup 30, I wore this Amau Ako ensemble; just the night before, I was still testing the lanyard placement of that large golden neck bell to ensure it wouldn't swing wildly while walking around the venue. The atmosphere on the day was fantastic with bustling crowds. Huge thanks to my photographer partner Dudu, who navigated me through the sea of people to find this relatively clean corner by the glass window—the incoming light was wonderfully luminous, beautifully bringing out the textures of the blue-and-white wig and blue contact lenses.
Portraying a character with a Prefect Team setting truly tests one's presentation of nuance. The deep navy uniform jacket over a white inner base, combined with the red armband bearing black lettering and the metal-buckled belt at the waist, each had their fit carefully adjusted. To match the character's blend of meticulous rigor and poised composure, I deliberately angled the buttons and neckline of the white inner top toward the lens during poses to accentuate the overall tailoring. On the lower half, the black Over-the-knee socks paired with the navy miniskirt visually elongated proportions, while the waist belt kept the overall silhouette sharp and clean.
Regarding makeup, besides the blue contact lenses, I specifically added a subtle reddish blush around the eye area so that even under high-key lighting, her distinct charm would remain pronounced. During the shoot, we explored varied poses: holding a clipboard and pen in some frames as if recording notes on duty for the Prefect Team, while saluting or resting a hand against the cheek in others to capture a more casual, off-duty side. The third photo made use of the glass window's reflection, creating an unexpected mirror composition with lovely moodiness. A touch of side-backlight fell across the bangs during shooting, giving the wig an airy, voluminous feel.
I met many fellow fans offline at Comicup 30. Although moving around in this full gear wasn't the easiest with the bell at my neck chiming with every step, that's precisely where the fun of cosplay lies. Between shots, I walked around the floor to ensure smooth movement with the footwear and stockings to avoid wardrobe slip-ups. Because the uniform features structured tailoring with defined shoulders and cuffs, posing required controlled posture to look effortless. Dudu framed the shots with great precision, capturing plenty of candid expressions and outfit details. After shooting Convention photos for over an hour, the resulting set was thoroughly satisfying, seamlessly blending the administrator's everyday duty with moments of relaxed ease. I hope to bring this costume to other conventions in the future to capture different scenes.
