For this shoot, I cosplayed Hatsune Miku! The overall look features the classic sleeveless white high-neck top, paired with a striking light green long tie and a matching pleated mini skirt. For props and accessories, I wore the iconic black-and-red headset microphone, alongside glossy black arm sleeves printed with circuit board patterns—a combination of details that instantly maxes out character recognition. For makeup, I opted for a clear, fair base foundation combined with hydrated, glossy lips, striving to replicate that blend of cool detachment and welcoming warmth unique to a 2D Virtual Diva.

This session took place outdoors next to high-rise railings, with city skyscrapers blurred by a wide aperture in the background, creating a visually pleasing contrast against the main Light green twin tails tone. The lighting during the shoot was quite intense direct natural sunlight, which challenged my expression control a bit, but this high-key effect lifted the image luminosity perfectly to create a crystal-clear, dreamy Japanese portrait photography vibe. Since the setting was relatively open, there was plenty of room for dynamic poses, so I experimented with various angles—like reaching both hands forward or swaying my hair to give the twin tails a dynamic, fluffy trajectory for this Outdoor street photography shoot.

In terms of garment fabric, the top of this outfit is made of slightly stretchy material with a clean waist cut that doesn't look bulky at all. The glossy arm sleeves offer great light reflection, exhibiting a coated texture under illumination, while the electronic motifs enrich the design elements. The pleated skirt silhouette adds dimensional layers alongside classic geometric lines, which, paired with over-the-knee dark stockings, visually elongates the leg proportions, acting as a true highlight of this ensemble.

When setting up poses, I made sure to keep my upper body upright while matching different hand gestures to enhance visual tension. For instance, when pointing forward with one hand, paying attention to arm extension and eye focus projects confidence and interactive engagement; when raising both hands to adjust hair strands, a casual, relaxed nuance boosts photo success rates. Due to the headset and microphone constraints on the head, head rotations required careful angle control to avoid blocking essential face lighting.

Since this was shot outdoors, the weather's sensory impact was quite noticeable—hair and props reflected slightly in the harsh light, but that is precisely the charm of location shoots. The key to handling these shots lies in post-processing fine-tunes for skin tone and overall color balance, making the cyan-green and white primary color scheme even purer. Through these sets of photos, I hope to naturally integrate this energetic character charm into Casual cosplay photography—embodying a 2D style without feeling overly out of place. That is probably the pure joy cosplay brings me: recreating characters in 3D real-world scenes while retaining my personal aesthetic. The whole shoot felt exceptionally fulfilling, and I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the lens.
