Let's dive straight into the costume and props. The red vest features rich fabric textures and embroidery details, and the floral ornaments offer great tactile quality, which, paired with the green skirt, makes for a visually striking combination. Shooting this outfit in a classical Chinese garden carried wonderful charm. The floral hair ornaments are fairly large and had to be meticulously secured onto the double-bun styled wig to prevent them from obstructing my line of sight. On the day of the shoot, we chose a traditional garden with ancient architecture; although tourists were present, we were fortunate to find several relatively quiet corners.

The iron chain prop was quite heavy, requiring me to hold it with one hand throughout the shoot or find a stable spot to anchor it, which meant repeatedly readjusting angles for certain poses. When shooting seated on the rocks, showcasing the White stockings and leg lines required disciplined core balance and precise posing posture. For example, in the shot sitting atop the rockery with crossed legs, the tension and angle of my feet were adjusted multiple times to achieve the right visual effect. Later in the shoot, the backlight came in at a perfect angle, creating a halo of rim light that beautifully accentuated the character's silhouette.

For hair and makeup, the purple-pink colored contacts and blush were styled based on the character's canon traits from Touhou Project (Touhou Ibara Kasen: Wild and Horned Hermit). The pink hair color showed natural tonal shifts under varying light without appearing synthetic. The White stockings paired with red shoes formed a vital component of the overall visual proportions. Because the skirt is relatively short, leg lines were fully visible, and combined with the arm bandaged gloves, the overall lines flowed seamlessly. In post-processing, we focused on background bokeh blur to make the foreground subject pop with dimensional depth, enhancing the atmospheric depth of the setting.

We switched between various spots during the shoot—utilizing the stone bridge in front of the pavilion and rocks beside the pond. While handling the heavy props was tiring, the final light-and-shadow gradations and costume fidelity fully met expectations in this Cosplay photography session—especially the final seated perspective, where adjusting the skirt hem balanced composition while highlighting graceful body curves.
