This Ruan Mei cosplay outfit representing my take on Anime-style fashion took a full week just to adjust from the moment I received it, especially the 3D shaping of that large flower on the chest and the fit of the gloves, which were repeatedly modified three times before I was satisfied. On the day of the shoot, I specially chose a Chinese-style screen and calligraphy scrolls as the background for this Chinese-style cosplay project, wanting to capture that warm yet somewhat detached atmosphere. When holding the prop pipa and the embroidered round fan in my hands, I felt as if I had truly stepped into that poetic space. For the post-processing this time, I intentionally added double helix and grid special effects to image one to echo the tech and life elements in the character's setting, but for the final cover choice, I still preferred the state under traditional light and shadow. The shooting process was actually quite hectic; I kept adjusting my posture on the daybed to let the skirt hem drape naturally while maintaining the lines of my legs, and finally selected a few of my favorite moments. I hope everyone can feel the effort I put into the makeup, styling, and expressions—each image is another re-expression of my understanding of the character.
