This time, I am bringing you an Anime cosplay of Cyrene from Honkai: Star Rail, which is also a set of works I have prepared with the most dedication recently. From the gradient color processing of the wig to the cut of those hollowed-out vine patterns on the costume, every detail strives to get as close as possible to the character's ethereal and slightly holy temperament. The weather on the day of the shoot was unexpectedly good. The blue sky and white clouds, paired with this meadow filled with blooming pink and white cosmos flowers, simply coincided perfectly with the Xianzhou style in the character's background. When the suspended halo of the headpiece and the white gauze drapes fluttered in the gentle breeze, it truly gave an illusion of being in a dreamland. Moreover, the design of this costume's skirt hem is highly complex; the outer layer is a lightweight pearlescent white, while the inner layer is a gradient blue-purple. Combined with the bow and ribbons at the waist, the sense of layering presented under natural light is much more vivid than in a studio shoot. To highlight the elf-like feel, the makeup intentionally elongated the eyeliner, used light blue colored contacts for the pupils, and added pointed fake ears, softening the overall contour quite a bit. During the shooting process, I had to be careful all the time not to step on the skirt hem, but to capture that dynamic sense of swaying with the wind, I still ran back and forth many times. There was barely any color grading done in post-processing, as the light and shadow of the raw photos were already very translucent. In fact, every time I do a character in this light fantasy style, the biggest challenge is how to make the wig and headpiece not look fake under harsh outdoor light. This time, using matte hair strands and translucent gauze decorations made the effect indeed much more natural. I hope everyone can feel the tranquil and Dreamy style atmosphere intended to be conveyed in this set of works through this outdoor photography showcase.
