[Rem cosplay] Cool Water-Blue Bridal Look: Direct Photos from the Anime Convention

These two convention photos, taken live on-site, are two of our more satisfying shots from this event's batch. For the styling, I chose a light blue wig with straight bangs, wearing a thin headband decorated with small flowers, and a small crossed hairpin on the side to make the overall hairstyle look more dynamic. To match the cool aesthetic of the light blue color, the makeup featured light blue-gray contact lenses, with elongated eyeliner and long eyelashes to shape the eyes, paired with a soft-textured peach-pink lip gloss so that even the cool-toned makeup carries a touch of gentleness. The outfit is the core highlight of this styling. The upper body features an off-the-shoulder lace high-collar design, with a purple-pink gemstone embedded on the blue bow at the neckline, packed with a sense of detail. The detached wide sleeves are made of lightweight sheer fabric, naturally adorned with ruffles. Although I had to constantly mind my posture during the wear to prevent them from slipping off, the overall sense of layering and lightness is quite remarkable. The bouquet in my hand was specially coordinated, featuring white flowers as the main body, paired with light blue accents and a few green leaves. The light blue ribbon wrapped around the handle echoes the colors of the outfit beautifully.

In the convention photography process, although P1 and P2 are from the same scene, the composition and atmosphere are slightly different. P1's depth of field retains some background information, where another cosplayer in a white and teal outfit can be faintly seen in the background on the left, giving the photo an extra touch of the lively and bustling convention atmosphere, like a real-time snapshot. P2, on the other hand, opts for a tighter composition and shallower depth of field, perfectly blurring out the passersby in black clothes and light stands in the background to completely focus the visual attention on my facial expression and shoulder contours, with clearer catchlights in the eyes and a clean, crisp shot. If I were to choose the cover for this cosplay sharing, I would lean toward P2 because its visual focus is clearer, showcasing the facial details, the hair texture of the blue wig, and the lace patterns on the sleeves more fully.

Posing with a bouquet is actually a real test of posture. To maintain an elegant and natural stance, the arms have to exert slight force while suspended in mid-air, which got really sore after a while, but the photographer did a great job capturing decent expressions and smiles. The anime convention was extremely crowded with people constantly passing by in the background, so finding such a relatively clean composition angle was already a rare treat. The light blue color scheme of this anime-style fashion look brings a very refreshing summer feel. Although the venue lighting was on the cooler side, we didn't make major color grading changes in post-processing, preserving the dreamlike atmosphere unique to this palette. From trimming the wig to preparing the outfit, makeup details, and props, every step of this cosplay journey took quite a bit of effort. Although the convention was a bit crowded, I also ran into many lovely fellow enthusiasts, exchanging photography tips in a very relaxed atmosphere. I'm quite satisfied with the final output; the cut and details of the dress are fully presented in front of the lens, and the watermark placement doesn't overly disrupt the overall composition. This convention photography trip was definitely worthwhile, with a very smooth experience from styling to shooting.
