[Elysia Cosplay] Pristine Bloom: Elegant Blooming of the Pink Fairy

The theme chosen for this shoot is the "Pristine Bloom" version of Elysia from Honkai Impact 3rd, a look I eagerly anticipated during preparation. Long pink hair combined with a black-and-gold interwoven armor design brings both maidenlike dreaminess and the crispness of a battle character—a contrast that is truly captivating.

Let's start with costume details. The entire outfit's tailoring fits the body profile closely. The upper body features armor with a black base contrasted against white, gold, and blue-purple. The pauldrons carry a unique sharp curvature, while the vambraces feature diamond geometric patterns; combining such rigid elements with a cute pink wig creates an unexpectedly seamless fusion. The black skirt on the lower body and Over-the-knee boots are major highlights—pairing black stockings with long legs visually elongates body proportions while preserving this character's signature playful agility. To achieve a semi-sheer effect and a natural transition between skirt hem and boots, materials and crafting were adjusted repeatedly, resulting in a very satisfying texture.

The "Pristine Bloom" prop was exceptionally heavy, yet it served as the soul of this photoshoot. This greatsword-style weapon not only boasts incredible dimensions, but its purplish-pink streamlined blade design and black-and-silver paint job are also packed with techwear vibes and sci-fi aesthetic. During shooting, controlling this weapon required constant adjustments in holding posture to ensure full display of the weapon without letting it overshadow the character.

We put a lot of effort into the set design, selecting abundant white and light pink roses as the primary background, flanked by retro white Roman pillars and stained glass windows to create a private garden belonging to Elysia. In lighting, purplish-pink filters and ambient lighting were intentionally applied, creating a soft, dreamy overall color palette that softened the sharpness of the weapon, better fitting the character's romantic nature.

During shooting, I experimented with several different poses—such as sitting tucked in the flowers hugging my knees, or holding a bouquet while gently smoothing my long hair. The tucked-leg pose showcased leg lines and the layering of Over-the-knee boots better, making the overall silhouette look soft and charming. Meanwhile, holding a bouquet highlighted her unique elegance and warmth, yielding fantastic shots alongside the surrounding floral sea.

Let's talk about hair and makeup. To capture the ethereal feeling of pink hair, the wig was layered to look lightweight and voluminous, creating a flowing feel when wind blew past. For makeup, I opted for slender eyeliner and translucent eyeshadow to amplify eye brilliance, which, combined with contact lenses, gave a clear yet calm, confident gaze. Natural nude-pink lip color was used so as not to steal visual focus. This makeup withstands bright camera lights while maintaining balance with purplish-pink ambient lighting.

Every time I complete a cosplay of a beloved character, it feels like stepping briefly into another dimension to experience their life. Although shooting Elysia Cosplay was hard work, seeing final results—especially the blending of flowers and armor under soft light—made every preparation feel entirely worth it. This post serves to record my shoot experience and styling details, while acting as a small review of this cosplay photoshoot.
