[Implacable cosplay] The arrival of Azur Lane's nun

As an Illustrious-class improved aircraft carrier, Implacable inherently carries a charm that is both sacred and full of contrasting appeal in her design. To perfectly recreate this look, a lot of thought and effort went into costume preparation and detail polishing beforehand.

This nun-themed costume has a very strong sense of layering. The outer layer is a wide black cloak with golden geometric textures, while the inner layer is a white corset, paired with a black sheer mesh and cross-strap design at the waist, which preserves the religious feel while perfectly displaying the curves of the waist, abdomen, and chest. The costume's material chose a fabric with a certain draping feel, so that when shooting large movements, the wide water sleeves and skirt hem would float naturally.

The headpiece is the soul of the entire styling. The golden radial crown of thorns on top of the head was handmade and assembled from lightweight materials. Although wearing it for a long time makes the neck a bit sore, the visual tension of the styling is maxed out straight away. The jagged white nun's veil paired with the small blue-and-white hat on top requires every edge to be ironed stiff and smooth to get the desired effect. To match this styling, I deliberately chose this light-golden long straight wig with a slightly curly texture, trimmed the blunt bangs, and combined it with red-smudged eye makeup and light-colored contact lenses, bringing out that overall aggressive nun temperament.

During the shoot, the train and wide sleeves of this outfit were actually quite a challenge. For the pose in the first picture, to showcase the draping feel of the sleeves and the extension of the arms, tension had to be maintained throughout. For the second picture, I chose a crossed standing posture; this angle can well highlight the leg lines, and the translucent white stockings paired with garter belts decorated with golden flowers are full of details. To match the costume, I also deliberately chose a pair of black Mary Jane shoes with thick heels, which not only elongated the leg proportions but also made the overall styling look more solid and grounded.

There are also exceptionally many accessories on the body. The two long white ribbons hanging down from the chest are edged with gold thread, and the bottom ends are strung with pearls and floral tassels, swaying with movements when walking. Every time shooting characters with bulky props and complex accessories like this, it is necessary to communicate well with the photographer in advance about the lighting angle. A pure white background can maximize the contrast of the costume's black, white, and gold color scheme, keeping the visual focus completely concentrated on the character herself.

During the shooting process, different body languages were used to showcase the multi-faceted nature of the character. The third picture with hands crossed over the chest actually aims to express a relative sense of serenity and prayer, while the pose with open arms emphasizes the grandeur and oppressive feel of the character herself. This clothing design, which finds a balance between holiness and sexiness, is precisely what makes Implacable the most attractive character.
