[Cheshire Cosplay] Inside and Outside the Lens of Azur Lane's Wedding Dress Look

For today's Azur Lane Cheshire Cosplay wedding dress look, we actually brainstormed several versions of the plan from planning to the actual shoot. Choosing this indoor environment with stained glass windows and white plush decor was specifically aimed at highlighting the pure and dreamlike texture under the bridal form. The fabric texture and layering of the clothing are richer than imagined, especially that layer of semi-transparent tulle and the delicate lace borders, which look lightweight and fit the body curves perfectly when worn, without feeling stiff during movement.

To match the characteristics of the character Cheshire, the wig was specially chosen in a grey-blue blended cyan-blue color scheme, which, combined with a layered short haircut style, naturally carries a playful vibe. The combination of the cat-ear hairpiece on top and the white veil is the focus of this look. The soft light effect of the veil falling over the hairpiece, along with the silver-white chain decorations, makes the entire head styling look incredibly agile under the light. For makeup, a clear and more natural foundation was chosen, with the eyeshadow colors echoing the hair color. Eyeliner and shimmering eyeshadow were used to deepen the eye contours, presenting a clear gaze that reproduces the character's sense of innocence.

During the shooting process, because the cut of this dress fits tightly around the waist, a naturally relaxed state in a sitting position turned out to be much more vivid than deliberately striking poses. My photographer friend put a lot of thought into the use of light, utilizing the diffuse reflection light refracted from the stained glass windows to make the transition between light and dark very soft, avoiding harsh shadows on the face. In terms of pose guidance, we went from standing while holding a bouquet, to gently lifting the skirt, leaning against cushions, and finally a soft kneeling pose with both hands gently shielding the chest, trying our best to showcase a balance between the bride's gentleness and the unique cuteness of a 2D character. Especially the lace details on the sleeves and the sheer patchwork around the waist and abdomen, with the help of the side-backlight, not only increased the transparency of the frame but also preserved the consistency of the overall colors.

For the post-processing tone, we didn't do heavy color grading, but only slightly suppressed the saturation of the background glass windows, nudging the overall image toward cold white and cyan-blue, which aligns closer with the color theme of the outfit itself. As for the blocking by that cartoon sticker on the chest, it was actually out of consideration for protecting setting details or copyright, but to some extent, it became a small visual characteristic of this set of photos. Although it slightly affected the complete display of the clothing's chest position in the final photos, this presentation instead gave the frame a bit more of a playful atmosphere. Leaving that aside, regarding the sheer tulle sleeves and the layered skirt at the bottom of the wedding dress, their lightweight swaying motion during the shoot was visible to the naked eye. This highly soft clothing looks exceptionally delicate when taking static close-up shots during this Cosplay photoshoot.

From the makeup and hair preparation in the morning to switching between multiple angles and different poses in the afternoon for the shoot, and finally to the post-refining, a lot of thought was poured in from start to finish. For this Azur Lane Cheshire Cosplay, although the scene and costume lean toward a simple and elegant direction, through polishing the details, the final photos successfully achieved our expected texture, recording the character's sense of agility amidst tranquility through this Anime-style photography.
