This set of blue-and-white convention photos taken on-site at the anime convention turned out very fresh and transparent overall. For the makeup and styling, the light blue wig paired with a matching large bow, along with the pointed elf ears, creates a highly unified cool color tone visually. The red striped bowtie at the collar of the outfit is the only highly saturated color in the entire ensemble, serving as an excellent accent and preventing any potential monotony from an all-blue look. The skirt features a design combining multi-layered ruffles and tulle patchwork; although it is quite fluffy and voluminous, it doesn't look heavy at all, but instead perfectly matches the lightweight feel of the character's design. On my feet, I paired brown chunky-heeled leather shoes with white lace ankle socks, a color combination that adds a touch of vintage fairy-tale flavor to the overall blue-and-white base. The shooting process was completed separately by two photographers, with a noticeable difference in style between photos 1-2 and photos 3-4. The first photographer habitually shot downwards from a high angle, which is great for capturing facial expressions and demeanor, especially the layering of the eye makeup and wig. The second photographer was better at low-angle snapshots. Combining with the specular reflection of the exhibition hall's smooth floor, they fully showcased the expansion of the skirt and the details of the shoes and socks, especially in that squatting photo, where the reflection on the ground gave the image great extension. For props, I held a multi-faceted cut transparent crystal prism. Under the overhead lights of the actual convention venue, the colorful optical effects refracted by this crystal were actually even more gorgeous than in the photos, and holding it in my hand also enhanced the extension of my limbs when posing. During the shoot, because the skirt had many layers and the shoes had heels, I had to try several times to find my center of gravity in order to complete the single-leg standing pose in the third photo. Balancing my body while managing my facial expressions simultaneously definitely required a certain level of stability. The fourth photo of the standing pose can be considered a classic control position; the gaze looking straight into the camera, paired with a slightly tsundere expression, just fits the slightly cocky and playful vibe of the post's caption. The lighting at the venue was quite messy, but both photographers did a great job with lighting control, preventing large areas of highlights from overexposing and preserving the subtle luster of the wig and skirt fabric. In the post-processing stage, basically no heavy filters or modifications were applied; I mainly adjusted the brightness and contrast to maximize the restoration of the on-site realism. Although anime conventions are crowded and have messy backgrounds, by making good use of a wide aperture to blur the background and utilizing the floor reflections, one can still capture clean and fresh images. This shoot resulted in one of my most satisfying sets of convention photos recently. I feel that characters with this kind of ice-type spirit color palette really easily showcase their inherent atmospheric vibe under cool white light environments, blending perfectly with the exhibition hall's surroundings.
