Today I cosplayed the Matcha Sweetheart Maid skin of Daji from Honor of Kings. The overall color palette is a refreshing light green paired with white lace and a yellow skirt. The wig is a classic golden blonde curl topped with two oversized yellow plush beast ears, and the headband is detailed with a green bow and a small yellow cube ornament. For makeup, I wore bright green contact lenses and chose pinkish tones for eyeshadow, paired with prominent blush and glossy lip glaze to capture the lively energy of a 2D anime character before the camera. The top features light green puff sleeves and a lower-cut neckline, highlighted by an eye-catching large white bow on the chest centered with a red flower ornament. The waist has a white apron design with multiple ruffled layers accented by small green leaf patterns. The skirt features three tiered layers of green, yellow, and white, with exquisite embroidered patterns hidden in the bottom layer. This outfit is incredibly rich in detail and layers, requiring quite some time during dressing to straighten the ruffles and bows so they maintain a fluffy, voluminous texture on camera.

This photo set was shot at an outdoor space right outside a shopping mall. Holding a dark wooden tray, I actually experimented with several poses—leaning forward to serve the tray, posing with one hand on the waist while pointing to my chin with a smile, or greeting the camera straight on. The ruffled sleeves and skirt layers are plentiful, swaying beautifully as I moved and walked, making the candid burst shots look fantastic. The dark wooden tray created a sharp color contrast against the light-toned outfit, anchoring the visual balance nicely. The background utilized a wide-aperture blur to isolate the subject, preventing passersby or clutter from disrupting the shot. The natural outdoor lighting was amazing, casting a luminous, sheer glow onto the satin skirt and bows.

The most important key when shooting this look was keeping movements natural and fluid, as the solid wood tray had noticeable weight. When holding it with one hand, keeping core balance steady was essential so the other hand could strike cute poses effortlessly. I kept the corners of my lips lifted and eyes sharply focused; paired with the golden hair and green lenses, the raw shots already looked remarkably rich in color. The green and yellow combination appeared exceptionally vibrant in natural daylight. In terms of pose design, to channel the enthusiastic service of a Maid Cafe, I leaned forward to offer the tray, while also trying gestures like resting my chin on one hand or waving. Leaning forward required keeping my back straight, and turning slightly toward the camera better accentuated the outfit's silhouette and chest design. To make the expressions feel more organic, right before the shutter clicked, I imagined myself genuinely greeting guests at a Maid Cafe—this immersion gave my gaze real warmth and communication rather than looking empty.

Shooting outdoors in this outfit got quite warm, as the skirt and sleeves have many heavy layers, which alongside the wig and plush ears tested my stamina and patience. But seeing the final photos faithfully capture that Sweet girl style made every bit of effort worth it. As a longtime Honor of Kings player, cosplaying Daji's Maid Cafe series brought me immense joy. The name 'Matcha Sweetheart' instantly lifts the mood, and the visual styling matched the theme flawlessly. Every cosplay is a brand new adventure—from makeup tests to styling and on-site shooting, each phase requires patient dedication to fine details. I'm very happy with the colors and expressions in this set, and I hope you all enjoy it too. See you at the next shoot!
