This Genshin Impact Lynette "Lily of the Valley Waltz" Ballet-style cosplay set has indeed received high attention in the convention community recently. Let's talk about the overall outfit first. This costume features a lightweight ballet stage outfit style, combining a white corset waist design with a blue-cyan gradient tutu. The ruffled cuffs on the upper body and black lace choker on the neck form a classic black-and-white contrast, complemented by black bows and cyan brooches on the front and back, conveying both a ballet dancer's elegant coolness and a cat-girl's playful agility. For this shoot, I prepared two pairs of shoes to present different vibes. In the first three photos of the set, I switched into professional ballet pointe shoes. Since I'm not a professional ballet dancer, standing fully on pointe for wide movements is quite challenging. For the pointe shoes portion, we mainly used static core-supported poses, focusing the weight on the toes and foot strength. Remember, when wearing pointe shoes, knees must be locked straight and the back fully upright to emulate a ballet dancer's muscular lines. Even though they are static poses, changes in sole hardness and foot balance really test ankle and core strength, requiring breaks after short periods. From the fourth photo onward, I switched back to thick-soled black chunky-heeled Mary Janes, which align more with daily Lolita or anime convention style. The camera feel became softer and more casual, pairing with ear-touching or light hand-cupping poses to highlight the character's slightly tsundere, adorable personality.

Regarding Cosplay pose reference, I noticed many cosplayers want to try this look but worry about poses. My advice is to keep movements as simple as possible. The skirt volume and cat tail already provide rich visual effects; making poses as complex as real ballet makes things look frantic. This time, I kept hand gestures minimal—gently touching cat ears with one hand, loosely cupping hands, or balancing high-and-low framing composition. The key lies in opening up shoulders and neck; no matter how the body tilts or turns, keep the core and chest lifted, coordinating the slightly raised cat tail angle with body motion lines to shoot fluid visual results.

The venue environment for this shoot was mainly inside a large convention center or photo studio, featuring dense circular ceiling lights above and large glass windows with white pillars behind. Relying purely on ambient light in such settings easily results in flat lighting. Fortunately, the photographers were highly experienced, utilizing cool-toned ice-blue strip fill lights to build a cool, ethereal atmosphere. Cold light shining on the white skirt and cat ears effectively brought out fabric texture layers without overexposing white details. The convention backdrop had scattered light stands, staff, and other players, which actually added an authentic, natural atmosphere to these Convention photos, making the framing feel airy.
