A lot of thought went into styling the wig for this look; the pale purple-silvery tone creates a gorgeous cool-toned refraction under studio lights. To build dimensional layering for the high ponytail, I deliberately mixed hair wefts of varying lengths, fluffing the crown extensively, while blue hair clips on the side served as key anchors to secure the strands. For makeup, the base emphasized a clean, translucent texture, focusing primarily on the eye makeup. Blue colored contacts paired with crimson blended eyeshadow required broad sweeps at the outer corners, but the edges had to transition seamlessly so the eyes wouldn't look puffy, instead delivering a cool, aloof, and subtly dangerous visual impact. The lips were coated in a high-saturation red to echo the eye makeup.
The outfit as a whole embraces a classic color palette of black, white, and purple. The top features a sleeveless white design spliced with black fabric over the chest, outlined with red V-shaped lines, while the golden metallic hardware at the neckline adds rich texture. The separate white sleeves on the arms are accented with dark patterns and silver piping, beautifully flattering arm contours. The deep purple bottom piece around the waist incorporates side slits, cinched by red woven cord knots and metallic buckles. The purple flower and red cord straps on the left thigh served as the crowning touch of this attire, not only elevating the design flair but also guiding the viewer's gaze during the shoot. Red cord bell anklets were tied around both ankles, chiming crisply when walking; since I was shooting barefoot, the anklets became an eye-catching detail.
The prop was a remarkably weighty greatsword. The hilt was bound in red over black, the crossguard featured a golden star motif, and the scabbard was primarily white with gold-and-red square emblems and red cord knots. Because the blade was quite long, controlling the center of gravity while wielding it required special care. When gripping the sword with the right hand, the wrist had to stabilize firmly while dropping the shoulder, projecting both authority and effortless composure. During the shoot, I sat on a dark carved wooden couch with legs crossed, resting bare feet on the mirrored floor. This flooring clearly reflected the shadows of the character and props, naturally adding a layer of spatial extension to the composition. The backdrop was pure white, accented with a sprig of yellow faux foliage on the far left edge, breaking up the monotony of the stark background and enriching the color scheme.
To capture a crisp and sharp presence, I explored diverse postures: slightly bending the arm while holding the sword, shifting body weight backward, and looking directly into the lens; or propping the scabbard upright while leaning subtly forward. The outfit carries heavy, saturated colors, so under bright, even studio illumination, the metallic accents and red cord details on the garment were fully illuminated without the black fabrics muddying together. During the shoot, facial management was key—the gaze couldn't be too soft, requiring a sharp edge of resolve. Overall, this was a shoot deeply attentive to details, from the wig's layering and eyeshadow palette to the heft of the sword, resulting in visuals brimming with dramatic tension.
