[Tanga Ibuki cosplay] The Cute Elf-eared girl in Blue Archive

This Cosplay photoshoot shot on a metal staircase turned out even more special than expected. Because the venue has a rather rigorous industrial style, the white non-slip steps and mesh guardrails formed great geometric lines, which happened to create a visual contrast with Tanga Ibuki's classic red, black, and blue costume. The details of the jacket are quite exquisite: the black base fabric paired with wide red cuffs, plus golden buttons and black lace trim, makes the overall cut very stiff and has some weight when worn, completely bringing out that military-style feeling where the shoulder line supports the peaked cap. In addition to the black military cap with a golden badge on the head, it was paired with a pink bow, and combined with those pointed Elf-eared girl props, the character's recognition was instantly maxed out. Tie a thin red bow tie at the neckline, put on a dark blue jumper dress, and finally step into those short boots with bright yellow big bows; the bright yellow played a great finishing touch role among the dark-toned clothes.

A lot of thought also went into preparing the props. That red-and-white long spear prop is quite long and feels heavy in the hand, and the surface color-blocking paint job is very meticulous. In addition, a sketchbook and a brown plush small bag were brought along. To showcase the character's liveliness, I tried many poses on the steps. Holding the notebook with both hands in front of the chest, or holding the plush bag high with one hand and winking at the camera, or sitting sideways with the rifle placed horizontally across the legs. However, because the jacket is particularly oversized, posing on the narrow staircase really tests body coordination. Sometimes when the center of gravity shifted slightly, the hem of the clothes and the red lining would pile up on the steps, requiring the photographer to constantly help adjust the direction of the skirt hem and jacket to ensure that the leg lines could extend naturally without making the posture look too stiff.

Actually, shooting in the stairwell is a huge test for lighting. The weather on that day was quite good, and the light coming down from the top and sides formed a relatively obvious light-and-shadow transition. To keep the light from being too harsh, we waited for a while and completed this set of photos under relatively soft natural light. High-angle and low-angle shots were both tried; the top-down perspective can well showcase the full-body outfit proportions and leg lines, while the eye-level angle focuses more on facial expressions and the display of upper-body props.

Overall, the characteristic of the character Tanga Ibuki lies in having that playful and agile vibe while wearing a rather heavy and cool military-style jacket. Mastering this contrast is the most important thing. From grooming the wig and fixing the elf ears to repeatedly moving up and down the stairs to find the camera angles, although running around made it a bit tiring, seeing the light, shadow, and clothing details presented on the monitor made it feel like a very satisfying Cosplay photoshoot experience.
