Today's set of finished photos was completed inside a photo studio. To capture the summer vacation ambiance of Shinobu Oshino from Monogatari Series, I prepared the entire wardrobe and props well in advance. The wide-brim straw hat on my head features delicate lace trim along the edges, which effectively softened harsh overhead lighting in the studio while infusing the look with an effortless vacation feel. On top, I wore a white short-sleeved cardigan knotted at the front hem to reveal the waistline, layered over a pink halter bikini top, paired below with pink polka-dot ruffled shorts and off-white platform sandals. The overall palette centered on pink, white, and blue, creating an exceptionally fresh aesthetic.

The oversized inflatable swim ring in my hands was custom-made, styled in alternating light blue and cream-white segments, printed with cartoon character illustrations, donut motifs, and crisp lettering along the sides. To give the skin a radiant, translucent finish before the lens, I applied body oil from head to toe before shooting, giving the finished shots a noticeable dewy glow. For makeup, I wore reddish-pink contact lenses and swept on prominent blush, pairing naturally with the golden wavy blonde wig to evoke a distinct anime look.

The set arrangement was remarkably minimal: a solid gray studio backdrop devoid of clutter, keeping visual focus squarely anchored on the character and props. For lighting, a front softbox illuminated the subject, while side rim backlighting traced the golden contours of the hair, lending an airy, weightless texture to each strand. Posing-wise, I tried balancing on one leg while steadying the swim ring with my right hand and gently tilting my torso—a posture that tested core balance, yet effectively highlighted leg lines and dynamic physical presence. For micro-expressions, I channeled her signature playful cuteness while gazing straight into the camera lens.

What brings me the greatest joy in every cosplay is turning 2D character designs into a three-dimensional visual reality. From trimming the wig and dialing in makeup nuances to styling the outfit and matching props, every step requires thoughtful consideration. This photo series leans into a spirited summer aesthetic; although shot indoors in a studio, dynamic stances and breezy hair styling successfully cultivated the airy freedom of a seaside getaway. During post-processing, I prioritized retaining skin luster and color translucency without excessive skin smoothing, aiming to deliver a natural yet polished visual texture.

The entire shoot went very smoothly, backed by great rapport with the photographer. Completing a vibrant, color-rich set against such a pristine backdrop was a fantastic creative experience. I'll maintain this dedicated attitude toward every creation and keep pushing forward.
