Paired with this summer swimsuit originally designed by YIYA GIRL, I completed this set of summer Cosplay photo delivery for Denia together with photographer @Hero A.
When I first saw this costume, I felt its color scheme and design perfectly matched the character. The pink and white off-the-shoulder top combined with transparent long sleeves preserves a lightweight and breathable summer feel while adding a touch of dreamy layering. The light blue shorts embellished with stars and starfish, along with the pink bow at the waist, follow a fresh, macaron-like color palette, which looks exceptionally photogenic against the blue sky and green water. The wig's pink and blue gradient hair color is also a highlight of this makeup and styling. During styling, we repeatedly adjusted those large curls, and together with the compact, exquisite hair accessories and flowers on top of the head, we achieved the character's energetic and lively visual impression.
The lighting on the day of the shoot was very abundant. While switching between the poolside and beach wooden crate locations, we mainly used a large aperture for outdoor photography. Especially the photo where I am sitting on the stone ledge by the pool, I selected it as the main featured picture this time. In that frame, the sunlight beautifully outlines the costume's silhouette and pleats, the light-colored top presents a translucent texture under intense light, the body posture is fully extended, and the overall composition completely integrates the figure with the summer elements of the background, avoiding cluttered watermarks and obstructions, which can instantly showcase the core characteristics of this swimsuit look.
Shooting by the water actually heavily tests the use of reflectors. To keep the overall pink, white, and blue color tones clean and avoid losing details due to highlight overexposure, we spent quite a lot of time searching for the right camera position. In the photo where I am sitting on the beach wooden crate, the pink transparent swim ring nearby and the pink sunglasses in hand serve as great prop interactions, giving the frame a touch of beach vacation laziness, and the bow on the thick-soled clog sandals can also find a balance point in the extension of the leg lines.
The style of the entire set of photos does not use overly rich or intense colors, but instead preserves a low-saturation, high-key presentation. This bright white, low-contrast processing method actually severely tests the quality of the original raw photos. The photographer's softening of the light during the post-processing stage just right preserved the cool, breathable visual experience unique to summer swimsuit photography.
As a cosplayer, it's not just about completing a roleplay, but rather bringing that summer image from the anime world truly into reality through the combination of outfit coordination and environmental atmosphere. This collaborative Cosplay photo delivery with YIYA GIRL left me highly satisfied from the styling to the final output results. I hope this set of photos, imbued with the scent of sea breeze and sunlight, allows everyone to feel a slice of summer freshness and vitality.
