[Perfumer cosplay] The Herald Star of Fragrance: The Elaborate Beauty Straight from the Camera Without Filters

I have had this The Herald Star of Fragrance set for a few days now, and my excitement still hasn't faded. Because it was custom-ordered in advance, I literally lost sleep the night before it arrived. Taking advantage of the soft lighting on this overcast day, I quickly took a set of fitting photos. None of the pictures have filters applied; in person, the costume is actually considerably brighter than in the photos.

First, my immediate impression upon trying it on: this is undoubtedly the most accurate and beautiful set on the market. There are so many highlights—the entire outfit is lavishly detailed and heavily handcrafted, with both the garment itself and the accessories being undeniably flawless. Using 10 meters of fabric is definitely no joke; photo 8 shows the long train laid flat, boasting remarkable layering and puffiness. It is surprisingly easy to put on and take off, and the cut features an unbeatable waist-cinching design. Supported by the structure of the petticoat itself, the costume takes on an impressive 3D volume once worn. Special praise goes to the gold glitter on the train—it sparkles brilliantly under the light without shedding everywhere, showcasing superb craftsmanship.

Of course, after trying it on, I noticed a few minor drawbacks for anyone considering getting it. First, due to the garment's design, it tends to show side-bust/armpit bulge because the tailoring demands a specific shoulder opening; however, with this cut, that is practically inevitable, and pulling the bodice up slightly completely resolves the issue. Second, the long train can make one appear slightly shorter, though that might just be my personal height since my legs aren't particularly long.

To give everyone a concrete reference: my bare height is 154 cm, and my shoes add 11 cm; wearing them together gives what I feel is quite a balanced overall proportion. Photos 3 and 4 show the short train style, which feels more lively and suitable for casual movement; photos 6 and 7 show the full long train, which exudes a commanding presence and is ideal for formal photoshoots. The tailor behind this outfit is @Zhenyou—the work is truly exceptional. Although I heard they aren't taking new orders for now, it is definitely worth the wait. The dress also offers great body-type accommodation thanks to the high waistline and voluminous skirt, which flatter leg lines wonderfully.

Having collected exquisite character costumes for a long time, I hold fabric textures and detailing to high standards. From the delicate gemstones on the chest and the lace along the collar to the gold-thread embroidery along the hems, everything made this cosplay try-on experience immensely fulfilling and joyous. For anyone who loves a lavish princess aesthetic, slipping into this costume instantly makes you feel like the heroine of a grand castle. I truly hope everyone can appreciate the inherent design beauty of this dress.
