Much effort went into preparing this Traditional Chinese style look for Yin Ziping from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, spanning from fabric texture selection to the final photoshoot presentation. The ensemble features a highly recognizable black-and-white palette centered around a pure white modified short cheongsam. Silver-grey jacquard patterns woven into the fabric reveal subtle metallic luster under natural light, adding rich depth to the white tone. The collar utilizes a high-neck halter cut reminiscent of traditional cheongsams, softened by an inventive white heart accessory at the front. Cutouts on both sides of the waist framed in black lines combine with a white tulle ruffled hem, infusing anime-style playfulness into the traditional outline.

To complement the outfit's aesthetic, I selected black straight bangs styled into twintails, accented with white lace hair ornaments and trailing white ribbons on both sides that sway gracefully during movement. Rather than bold colors, makeup remained clean and natural to highlight eye vitality, embodying the crisp, dashing essence of a Chinese girl. The black folding fan served as the key prop, acting as a heavy accent that balanced the airy white fabric while granting a sharp, hidden-weapon poise. White thigh-high stockings paired with black chunky-heeled loafers offered a classic anime-style combination, coordinating the black-and-white scheme while elongating leg proportions.

The shoot took place before floor-to-ceiling windows in a high-rise building, fully utilizing daytime natural lighting. Urban skyline views and lush greenery outside provided a gentle backdrop without overpowering the subject. Soft, diffused natural light brought out the cheongsam texture, producing a bright, airy, and translucent visual style without heavy post-processing reliance.

Three pose variations were executed. Photo 1 features a foundational stance with weight on the right leg, left leg relaxed, holding the fan downward in the right hand with the left hand resting on the waist. Though simple, this symmetrical, centered composition effectively showcases the garment's tailoring and full accessory details from head to toe, making it an ideal cover image.

Photo 2 transitions into a dynamic posture: standing on one leg with the other knee raised to create an energetic, aggressive vibe. Pointing the fan directly toward the lens with a playful left-hand gesture draws immediate focus to the visual center. This confident pose suits the character's lively yet slightly tsundere demeanor.

Photo 3 leans against a wooden railing in a relaxed stance, holding the fan near the shoulder with eyes softly meeting the camera. This angle utilizes glass window reflections to enhance scene transparency, highlighting a serene and composed side. The black-and-white attire against white glass and green foliage creates crisp color contrast.

Overall, the modified Traditional Chinese style outfit features thoughtful design—blending anime cuteness, flattering tailoring, and Chinese cultural elegance. Adjusting movements dynamically to ambient light captured every detail at shutter speed: fluttering tulle, intricate jacquard weaves, and swaying white ribbons. Shooting under natural light faithfully restored the character's vivid, authentic presence.
