[Denia Cosplay] Birthday Invitation from the Mirror World in Wuthering Waves

This shoot chose a backdrop of a gorgeous red velvet curtain and black-and-white checkered patterns, which, combined with tilted golden frames, visually created the illusion of a Mirror World. Since the copy asks if we can celebrate a birthday together, I wanted to capture an inviting atmosphere, as if waiting for you across a specific time and space.

For styling and makeup, the focus was on this white, black, and blue color-blocked dress. The upper body features a white corset structure accented with numerous metal and blue gemstone details, with cute pink-and-white plush trims along the cuffs. The red gloves serve as the visual focal point of the entire outfit, bringing out vibrant vitality. The skirt features rich layers—white ruffles and black glossy patchwork, with the outermost layer crafted from deep blue reflective fabric and translucent pink draped tulle. It creates dynamic layering when moving, though it also heavily tests body proportions. On my feet were cutout lace-up black high heels; to elongate the leg lines, the photographer specifically requested the pose in Photo 1: standing on one leg with the other foot hooked upward. This pose was actually exhausting due to an unstable center of gravity, requiring constant tension in the leg muscles and making the ankles ache, but the result accentuated leg proportions wonderfully, making the deep blue sheen of the skirt look richly three-dimensional against the red-and-black background.

The prop is a crescent-moon-shaped staff adorned with a large purple orb, which carried considerable weight in hand; we deliberately adjusted its angle during the shoot for optimal framing. Photo 2 features a composition where I crouch inside a golden frame, which tested my eye focus even more. The framing makes the character appear trapped or peering out from an alternate dimension, with the prop placed alongside and paired with red gloves to deliver a striking visual impact that breaks the fourth wall.

I remember repeatedly adjusting the skirt folds under the lighting to achieve this effect, taking extra care not to obscure the thighs and leg lines so as to better showcase the charm of this Gorgeous gown. The shooting process went quite smoothly; enhanced by the dense ambient lighting on set, the overall texture aligned closely with my vision of Denia. The moments captured by the shutter truly conveyed that mysterious yet subtly alluring essence. I love this set of photos, especially the harmony between the high heels and the skirt, which produced very flattering visual proportions while the realistic style preserved the costume texture to the fullest extent.
