[Priestess cosplay] Identity V Honorary Chief Cosplay: Summer Light and Shadow Carrying Hope and Passion

In truth, every time I do this Priestess cosplay in the Honorary chief cosplay skin, the hardest part isn't assembling the garment, but precisely aligning the myriad accessories. From the weight of the golden wheat-ear head crown to the visual harmony of wearing sunglasses, every single detail required repeated confirmation before shooting. For this Cosplay photoshoot to proceed so smoothly, I'm truly grateful to stylist Xuanji for the immaculate makeup and styling. Those teardrop-shaped glitter sequins and highlighters on the face aptly echoed that pristine clarity where water meets the sky. Photographer Guanguan is an absolute master of candid captures; I especially remember during full-body shots when floor lights illuminated the blue sheer tulle fabric of the hem, making the star embroidery and yellow tassels look exceptionally dynamic in the nighttime atmosphere.

To faithfully recreate this summer look intertwining water elements and oceanic vibes, extensive effort went into selecting fabrics for the coat and shorts. Sky-blue sheer tulle accented with silver lurex sequin trim presented an airy, breezy flow in front of the lens. The visual focus often lands on the leg straps and transparent high heels. The heels of those transparent chunky sandals were actually much more slippery than they appeared; paired with the blue and yellow tassels around the ankles, while they elongated proportions and looked incredibly photogenic, walking around and balancing on-site was a real test of core strength. To keep the straps taut and wrinkle-free, we adjusted them repeatedly with tape and securing clips prior to shooting.

Shooting at the booth this time, the background bokeh light spots and occasional passing crowd unexpectedly added a touch of realism. Through this set, I hoped to convey the Priestess's lighthearted, free-spirited, yet subtly coquettish and proud dynamic. The mashup of water elements and sunglasses gave this originally sacred design a playful summer vacation flair. Every time I checked the photographer's viewfinder, I brainstormed how to express that confident, cheeky charm through fingertip gestures and eye contact.

Of course, my emotional journey throughout this shoot was quite complex. Wanting to avoid pulling off-banner in the Essence gacha was truly my soul's most authentic cry. Recently in Identity V, my luck pulling from this essence can only be described as dismal, sending my blood pressure skyrocketing during pulls. Every time the golden glow flashed, I thought my luck had finally turned, only to get completely spooked by off-banner pulls. So I channeled all that resentment into praying for luck through this shoot. Wearing this Honorary chief cosplay attire, I felt as if I received a mysterious buff, frantically casting spells and praying to smoothly win the upcoming Thursday Essence gacha. I hope NetEase hears the heartfelt plea of an ordinary player and stops tormenting me. This getup is not just a character skin, but my personal lucky charm to combat unlucky gacha streaks.

There were plenty of fun anecdotes during the shoot: wearing these intricate ornaments and straps meant every turn risked catching on adjacent props, and completing poses smoothly relied entirely on the photographer's patient guidance. Also, do you guys think these clear heels look good? While gorgeous, they certainly sacrificed some comfort. Naturally, for the sake of stunning photos, that sacrifice was totally worth it.

As a popular skin in Identity V, capturing both its agile charm and divine grace requires genuine understanding. I avoided overly complex CGI overlays, striving to preserve the raw photos' clean texture and lighting interplay. In post-production, I only added subtle water-sheen textures with slight adjustments to facial lighting and overall color tones, creating a misty aquatic vibe under a coastal night sky. Indeed, if the game lobby featured real-time dynamic water-shimmer effects echoing this skin's hemline, it would look breathtaking. For now, I can only interpret this beauty in my own way. The tone of the entire Cosplay photoshoot is relaxed, confident, and infused with a cool summer beach vibe—thank you for letting me share this work with you all.
