This time I am bringing the Genshin Impact cosplay photoshoot of Furina and Focalors. The costume is mainly dark blue and pure white, and the jacket fabric features subtle patterns that produce a low-key reflection under the lights. The teardrop-shaped gemstone brooch right in the center of the chest is the visual focus of the upper body, wrapped in a golden border with strong layering. To secure this brooch, quite a bit of hidden support was built into the inner side of the clothes. The shirt collar features multi-layered stacked ruffles, which must be smoothed out layer by layer when wearing, otherwise it tends to make the neck look thick. The shoulders of the jacket have a stiff and crisp design; during the photoshoot, the shoulder line must not collapse, otherwise, that aura balance will be lost. The wig is short hair with a white base and bright blue highlights. To achieve a fluffy, messy look, hair wax and setting spray were repeatedly adjusted. The most troublesome part is the crescent-shaped ahoge on top of the head—too soft and it collapses easily, too hard and it looks stiff; finally, thin iron wires were used for auxiliary fixing to achieve a relatively natural arc. The sideburns on both sides were trimmed according to the face shape, and the blue highlight parts should maintain clear layering. In terms of makeup, bright blue contact lenses were worn, and the eyeshadow was chosen from the same color family. The eye makeup is relatively heavy, and the lower eyelashes are glued on, highlighting a doll-like exquisite feel. The base makeup adopts a matte effect to avoid oiliness under strong light. Blue eyeshadow tends to look dirty in makeup, so it is recommended to layer it in small amounts multiple times, and use pressed powder at any time to press down on the sides of the nose and where the hat touches and easily rubs off. The lower body is matched with white shorts, and black leather leg rings are tied around the thighs. This kind of restrictive accessory modifies the leg lines very well and visually enhances height significantly. On the feet is a pair of dark blue shoes, matched with blue-and-white ruffled sock covers, adding a little cuteness. The prop in hand is an exquisite long sword; the hilt and handguard have a gold and blue metallic texture, and the blade features a silver-and-blue gradient. Although the prop is not heavy, you still need to pay attention to the angle when wielding it, so as not to let reflections affect the frame. When shooting full-body compositions, the lines of the sword need to be taken into consideration, and the tip of the sword cannot be directly cut off, otherwise the frame will appear cramped. The shooting scene is decorated with many blue and white flowers, Roman columns, and picture frames, with dark blue sheer curtains hanging in the background. In terms of lighting, cool-toned light sources were specially chosen, with the main light hitting the face, side light outlining the contours, and a light used in the background to create a halo, generating an atmosphere full of water elements. The costume has both gorgeous aristocratic airs and a hint of theatricality. When portraying the character, I not only adjusted the poses but also switched my gaze. The gaze tends to be softer during close-ups and more resolute during full-body shots, and when standing with the long sword in hand, I hope to reflect the complex interweaving of divinity and humanity in the character. Giving some suggestions to friends who also want to try this outfit: the length of the shorts and the position of the leg rings need to be adjusted in advance to try to ensure that you won't accidentally expose anything when making large movements during photography. The wig must first be clamped with a straightener to set the basic direction before applying setting products, otherwise, it easily looks frizzy; after spraying hairspray, do not easily comb it forcefully with a comb, and just wash it off with conditioner when dismantling. From costume customization, makeup trials to venue communication, every single step required personal involvement. During retouching, the texture of the fabric and metal props was preserved without excessive skin smoothing, retaining the real skin texture. The overall color tone is very unified, and the output results met expectations, making it a very fulfilling photoshoot experience.
