For this Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo, I brought the Unfathomable skin styling of the "Little Girl" from Identity V for convention photos. Inspired by official game art, this outfit leans toward a dreamy, fairytale style. The costume heavily features pink and light blue organza fabrics, paired with a sizeable headpiece, golden braided pigtails, matching bead accessories, and floral sandals—all designed to give the character a lightweight, slightly ethereal texture.
Before leaving, photographer NightDiva and I communicated a shooting plan to create a soft visual contrast against urban lines in an outdoor modern architecture setting. Weather in Guangzhou was quite hot on the shooting day, making an outfit with a heavy headpiece and voluminous tulle skirt quite physically demanding, but out of love for this character, all the hard work felt completely worth it the moment the photos were produced.
We chose an open spot outside the venue for this shoot, where black-and-pink tiled floor mats served as a great reference point. We brought two fill lights and softboxes, starting the shoot in the afternoon when light was softer. In the first picture, I stood sideways, gently resting my chin on the back of my hand with a distant gaze to convey languor and mystery, while perspective angles fully displayed side details of the outfit, including arm beads and layered headpiece details. The second picture captured a dynamic motion of reaching out, letting the skirt show a fluttering lightness, while blue flower sandals on my feet stood out clearly in the light and shadow.
For the third picture, I chose to sit on the ground with my legs extending naturally forward—a pose that easily showcases large-area skirt pleats and reflective fabric luster, while naturally presenting leg lines and shoe details. In the fourth picture, I sat on a black high stool nearby, crossing my legs slightly with relaxed hand posture; this seated pose works well as a cover composition, maintaining a stable center of gravity with the character positioned in the visual center without being cropped near the frame edges.
As a cosplayer, I believe restoring a character is not just about physical resemblance, but more importantly capturing certain expressions and demeanor. Although the "Little Girl" character in Identity V can have many interpretations, the "Unfathomable" skin gave me a deeply ethereal and pure feel. Therefore, during shooting, I tried to maintain a calm, slightly detached emotion to better fit this costume style. We're quite pleased with how these Guangzhou Anime Convention photos turned out; night scenes and special angle photos haven't been fully edited yet, so I'll share more once post-processing is complete.
