[Tia Cosplay] Afternoon Dessert Time with Goddess of Victory: Nikke

A lot of thought went into this Tia cosplay from setup to shooting. Especially for those high golden hair buns and bangs, trimming and styling the wig alone took over two hours to recreate that light and sweet feel from the original game. For makeup, I emphasized the pink blending at the outer corners of the eyes, paired with red contacts, hoping to capture Tia's slightly lazy yet playful charm.

As for the outfit, the white off-the-shoulder base layer paired with pink-and-white plaid ruffled straps creates a very crisp look. The shoulder-exposing design perfectly highlights the collarbone, while the red athletic shorts make the overall color palette bright and energetic. The thin red choker around the neck was a nice subtle touch, adding a bit of sophistication to the sweetness. The temperature on shoot day wasn't high, but the studio lights were intense. To keep the outfit smooth and the folds dimensional, I had to maintain a side-seated pose looking back over my shoulder most of the time. This angle actually tested my core strength, as I needed to stabilize my upper body while keeping the turn of my neck looking natural.

Pink donuts, as well as blueberry and strawberry cakes, were specially picked as props for the photos. These desserts complement the colors of the outfit beautifully, giving the scene a cozy afternoon tea atmosphere. During the shoot, the photographer kept encouraging me to relax my shoulders and avoid puffing out my chest intentionally, instead leaning forward slightly to create a casual glance-back look. The red shorts fit just right around the hip curves, and combined with white mid-calf socks against the white backdrop, my leg lines and skin tone appeared much softer. Many friends love the texture of thick thighs; in this lighting, it shows off a healthy, full silhouette rather than looking skinny.

We didn't use overly complex lighting this time—mostly softboxes to illuminate my face and body, reducing harsh shadows so the image looks clean and translucent. Post-processing was minimal, just slight skin smoothing and evening out skin tones, without over-editing body proportions, because I feel Tia's character design should inherently be energetic with a touch of soft curve. We moved the donuts several times during shooting to find a composition that looked casually placed without stealing the spotlight, finally settling on placing them on the front left. The white background works wonderfully to keep all eyes focused on the character and props, resulting in a crisp, clean shot.

Speaking of the pose, sitting sideways while looking back is actually harder to nail than facing the camera directly, because you can't look at the viewfinder and have to rely on feel to adjust your back curve. Fortunately, the photographer was very experienced and kept communicating angles with me, taking about a hundred shots before picking these satisfying ones. The reason I love this photo most is that my state was relaxed, without any stiff, forced posing, and the emotion in the eyes was just right.

Though this cosplay costume looks casual, putting it on and adjusting it was quite tedious, especially since the ruffles easily shifted out of place and required constant neatening. However, seeing the refreshing and sweet atmosphere in the final photos made all the preparation worthwhile. A plain white background combined with bright clothing really tests how clean the makeup is, so I specifically chose a long-wearing foundation and enhanced the eye makeup saturation to keep my facial features three-dimensional even under bright highlights.

Lastly, cosplay isn't just about wearing the costume; it's an understanding and expression of the character's persona. To me, Tia feels like the kind of girl who would wink at you while eating desserts, so I tried to convey her personality with this relaxed, glance-back pose. The props were prepared with great care—the cake was a custom-made replica, and the donuts were high-fidelity props so they wouldn't spoil during the long shoot. The whole session was delightful, and I hope this photo allows everyone to feel Tia's energetic and cute charm.
