For this look of Dorothy from Goddess of Victory: Nikke, this photoshoot aimed primarily to convey a luminous, dreamy visual aesthetic for an Anime girl. During the early costume preparation, special consideration was given to the color balance between pink and white; the saturation of pink in this outfit was kept clear and sheer, which, complemented by generous white accents, seamlessly aligns with the character's sweet yet mysterious aura.

The centerpiece of the costume is a pink halter-neck dress. The neck straps combined with a metallic teardrop pendant on the chest create an exquisite visual lead, while the exposed skin remains tastefully restrained without feeling overly dramatic. White criss-cross lacing was added at the waist, a detail that flatters the waistline while providing structural definition to the garment. The petticoat underneath supports a fluffy tiered cake-skirt silhouette, edged with white ruffled lace to give the hem rich layering and volume. The large white bow ribbons at the back are also the essence of this styling; when seated on a bench, the ribbons cascade down naturally, adding wonderful dynamic motion to the frame.

For accessories, the headpiece features a fluffy side bun paired with a pure white bow clip, echoing the white elements on the dress. The custom-made lace arm sleeves feature fine, dense lace patterns that avoid feeling overly heavy. During prep, styling the Pink wig and securing the hairpieces took considerable time to ensure fluffy volume without looking disheveled, and the final presentation was very satisfying.

Next, let's highlight the footwear and legwear styling. I specially selected a pair of glossy pink chunky-heeled platform shoes; their color stays highly unified with the dress while creating a striking contrast between glossy and matte textures. Paired with opaque pure white tights in this White thigh-highs outfit, the reflective sheen of the shoes adds grounding weight to the lower composition under studio lights, while the white tights smooth and sculpt the leg contours beautifully.

The entire shoot was conducted in an indoor studio filled with dreamy vibes. The set was divided into two main areas: one featured a white European wrought-iron armchair over a thick white plush carpet, with white European door panels, golden carved lines, white tulle, and floral accents creating a high-key, pristine wonderland. The other was a bedroom set with a white bed—its iron frame entwined with green vines and roses—accompanied by white sheets and scattered petals to introduce a cozy, languid lifestyle feel.

Lighting utilized a high-key, bright soft-light scheme, where diffused light eliminated harsh shadows to give the entire frame a gentle, clean look. For posing, I experimented with several seated postures: first, sitting slightly angled on the chair, holding a prop with one hand while gently raising the other to my neck, calmly gazing into the lens to showcase the dress tailoring, leg lines, and shoes. The second pose was sitting on the edge of the bed with a hand resting on my chin, exuding poised elegance. The third was sitting completely relaxed in the center of the bed with arms crossed behind my head and legs extended, capturing a playful, languid charm. Switching between postures tested the garment's tailoring, and fortunately, the cinched waist maintained a crisp silhouette across all poses.

Faithfully executing this Dorothy cosplay goes beyond outward fashion; conveying subtle emotions through expressions and body language is equally crucial. Throughout the shoot, the photographer constantly guided me to capture that delicate balance between innocence and elegance. Combined with the abundant white and pink palette, the resulting atmosphere was exactly what I envisioned. Although the costume and accessories were quite heavy, seeing the final imagery made every effort worthwhile. This work captures a dedicated facet of this look, and I hope it conveys the character's exclusive, captivating allure.
