[Kochiya Sanae Cosplay] Touhou Project Wind Priestess Attire in the Bamboo Forest

A lot of thought went into finding the location with the bamboo forest and red staircase for this Touhou Project Kochiya Sanae cosplay shoot. The costume is rich in detail, especially the white-and-blue shrine maiden attire, which features abundant tassels and lace patchwork across the chest, cuffs, and hem, while the midriff-baring cut fits the character's design perfectly.

The look is paired with a light-green long straight wig accented with blue floral hair accessories. The golden ritual staff held in hand is adorned with bells, cloth banners, and trailing ribbons, capturing a great sense of motion across various poses. Both the photography and post-processing were fantastic—using a wide aperture to blur the background bamboo forest into dreamy bokeh, along with rainbow lens flares created by backlighting, giving the shots an exceptionally luminous, airy feel.

The shooting process was actually quite demanding. Because the props were light, I had to manually wave the ribbons in sync with the shutter in a windless setting. We walked up and down the stairs multiple times and tested numerous angles to catch the right lighting. Although some poses felt unnatural at first, the photographer guided me skillfully, helping me gradually settle into a mood that felt both gentle and subtly sacred. The subtle post-processing adjustments to light and shadow preserved natural skin textures, giving the final set a balance of anime-style fantasy refinement and realistic three-dimensional depth.
