Ever since this look of Xishi was released, I've always wanted to try it. This time, taking advantage of the convention opportunity, I cooperated with photographer WiFi for a set of on-site convention photos. As a character in Honor of Kings who leans towards an ethereal and agile vibe, the materials and details of this outfit require a lot of attention during actual wear. I've organized a few of my favorite pieces to share with everyone.

The primary color tone of this costume is pure white, with the outer layer pieced together with semi-translucent tulle sleeves. While this material wrinkles easily in daily wear and can be easily yanked during large movements, it is precisely this see-through quality that shapes the character's lightweight temperament. The cuffs feature a cinched design, and the neckline is modified into a slight stand-up collar, while the blue ties and metal ornaments at the waist enhance the structural sense. Additionally, the long black wig and the blue headband on the head serve as excellent accents, which, paired with the white over-the-knee long socks and black lace-up high heels, beautifully elongate the visual proportion of the lower body. The blue-and-white color scheme of the tassels is arguably the essence of the entire look; in Images 2 and 3, I deliberately pinched the tassels with my hand to interact, which adds dynamism to the overall frame.

The lighting environment at the convention venue was rather complex—looking up, there were those multi-light array overhead venue lights, and the light reflected from the ground was also quite messy. Thanks to photographer WiFi, who deeply understands this character's temperament, guiding me to do a single-leg standing balance pose in Image 1. Since these shoes have rather high heels, maintaining stability in that posture while managing facial expressions and arm placement heavily tested my core strength. The composition in Image 4 is also highly ingenious, utilizing a black metal folding ladder on-site as a prop; sitting sideways with one hand raised high highlights the character's composure much better than simply standing, while also avoiding the clutter at the edges of the frame.

Images 2 and 3 offer close-up and half-body showcases. In a venue with multiple light sources like that, fill lighting is absolutely crucial. The photographer used soft light equipment to create a relatively uniform facial light while preserving the texture of the hair, and greatly brightened the white quality of the clothes without producing a suffocating overexposed look. The shooting site was actually very bustling, with other photographers' fill-light umbrellas nearby and passersby walking past; being able to shoot a relatively pure frame required timely snapshot capture in addition to the preparation itself.

Actually, every time I put on a look with ancient style or Chinese style outfit elements like this, I go in with a mindset of wanting to restore the character's charm as much as possible. It's not just about wearing the clothes, but more about the feeling in every gesture. Like looking back with a raised hand in Image 1, or gently resting a hand in Image 3, paired with a subtle smiling expression, all in hopes of presenting a natural, unforced visual feel before the lens. Seeing so many friends who love anime at the convention venue, with everyone interpreting their favorite characters through their own unique eyes, I feel this atmosphere of exchange is precious. I am overall highly satisfied with these convention photos; both the refreshing quality of the clothing's white and blue color scheme and the overall look paired with the shoes and socks met my expectations. Freezing the character's temperament at the exact instant the shutter clicks is a highly meaningful thing to me in this piece of Anime cosplay.
