Today, I'm sharing this set of outdoor official photos of Phoebe from Wuthering Waves. To fit the character's pastoral temperament, a lot of thought went into the outfit coordination this time. It took a long time to select the light golden long curly hair to find a natural hair gloss, but the wind at the outdoor location was simply too strong; the bangs and sideburns kept fighting the wind, and a thick layer of hairspray and styling spray was applied to barely stabilize them. The straw hat on top of the head matched with a sunflower and a blue ribbon, plus the dark blue denim vest, white off-the-shoulder puff sleeves, and light yellow small apron, instantly brought out the overall layering. To highlight the vest's cut, I maintained an upright back posture throughout the shooting period. The paired black flat shoes not only made walking relatively steady but also grounded the overall styling. In terms of makeup, to restore the 2D anime feel, pink circle lenses were specially worn, the eye makeup intensified eyeshadow blending, and the base makeup was kept quite sheer and clear, preventing it from looking heavy under strong light.
The outdoor shooting process can truly be described as chasing the light. The first and fourth shots were taken in the evening reed marsh; the sunset during that time period was simply breathtaking. To capture the golden edges and rim lighting on the hair, the photographer searched for angles for a long time, coordinated with backlight illumination. It was very windy at the time, and the long hair blew completely out of control, but it happened to capture that ethereal dynamic feel. Standing in the bushes wearing White pantyhose cosplay with starlight decorations, I was actually a bit worried about getting scratched by tree branches, but fortunately, the texture of these pantyhose was quite thick, and the semi-sheer design at the thighs looked fantastic under the backlight. Holding a light blue long ribbon in hand, for that single-handed gesture reaching towards the camera, to give the gaze a dreamy feel, I held my breath several times before capturing a satisfying result.
The second and third shots moved to the sea of flowers. The weather that day was exceptionally good, with a pure blue sky matching large fields of orange and white cosmos flowers, creating an intense color contrast. When squatting down in the sea of flowers, attention actually had to be paid to the placement of the skirt hem to avoid looking too messy. For the shot closing eyes to feel the breeze while playing with the ribbon on the hat, the photographer used a wide aperture, blurring the foreground flowers into dreamy bokeh. The shot standing up against the wind was taken from a low angle, mainly to showcase height advantages and the flying feel of the long hair, but the sunlight was too glaring, so I spent the entire time trying hard not to squint while maintaining the elegant posture of holding the hat brim with my hand.
The final shot was taken on a low concrete wall. Because the sky exposure was relatively bright and the overall tone leaned toward cool white, to keep the character from looking bland in the frame, I deliberately turned sideways to twist a strand of hair with my hand, with my gaze looking far into the distance. Every time going out for location shoots requires dragging large suitcases everywhere, and there are plenty of insects in the bushes; sunscreen had to be reapplied layer after layer, but seeing these translucent light-and-shadows and colors in the finished photos made all the hard work feel completely worth it.
