Summer is simply meant for soaking by the water. This time, I chose a pool as our shooting location. The Shorekeeper's lore in Wuthering Waves is inextricably tied to the aquatic realm, so I poured immense care into the styling to do this Swimsuit justice.

The wig needed to convey an effortless, wind-swept realism; I applied hair wax and setting spray to build airy volume, but because the ambient humidity was so high, it flattened almost as soon as it was styled, leaving me to constantly carry a comb for on-the-fly touch-ups. For the eyes, I layered blue-toned eyeshadow touched with fine glitter, which looked exceptionally luminous beneath the dancing water ripples. In terms of accessories, a silver necklace and a blue-and-white bracelet introduced subtle elegance, ensuring the look never felt plain.

The Swimsuit top features a halter-neck cut, with crisscross tie-straps wrapping around the waist. This silhouette places high demands on the waistline, so I strictly managed my diet prior to the shoot to keep my midriff in peak condition. The semi-translucent wrap skirt layered over the bottom proved essential—strolling along the infinity pool, the fluttering gauze created captivating dimension while flattering the leg contours. We scheduled the shoot for late afternoon so the golden hour sunlight hit just right, carving out natural rim light along my silhouette.

The hardest hurdle during shooting was managing my eyes. With the sun beating down intensely, squinting was almost an involuntary reflex; yet to channel The Shorekeeper's signature blend of cool detachment and gentle grace, I had to hold against the glare, letting my eyes narrow ever so slightly to harmonize with the water's shimmering reflections, which unexpectedly evoked a dreamy, mesmerizing haze. In my posing, I kept my frame expansive and fluid—lifting my left hand softly or shaping subtle gestures to accentuate natural bodily curves. In waterside photography, harmony between gaze and body language is paramount to avoid looking stiff.

The heavy water vapor on set frequently fogged up the camera lens, requiring lens cloths on standby for continuous wiping. To prevent harsh hot-spot reflections, we bypassed intense artificial fill lights in favor of silver reflectors to softly lift facial shadows, preserving a translucent, radiant skin texture.

This summer Swimsuit set of The Shorekeeper from Wuthering Waves completely fulfilled my dream of doing a waterside shoot. The consistent Blue-themed cosplay palette flowing seamlessly from hair and eyes into the pool water created an effortlessly serene visual comfort. Though shooting was physically demanding, seeing the final deliverables proved every bit of effort was worth it.
