[Phoebe Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Outdoor Photoshoot: Gentle Sea Breeze After the Typhoon

The sea breeze after the typhoon passed was indeed much gentler. Taking advantage of this overcast yet softly lit window, I finally brought this Phoebe Cosplay photo set from Wuthering Waves to life. As the model who also oversaw the overall photographic direction and prop details, I put considerable thought into this Wuthering Waves outdoor photoshoot. The blue-and-white palette on the costume catches natural light intensely—without careful exposure control, it can easily blow out or look overly synthetic—but fortunately, the final images exceeded expectations. Prior to shooting, I specifically shaped the interior of the wide hat to ensure it wouldn't collapse in the outdoor wind or obstruct my vision while maintaining its original three-dimensional contour. Holding the bird staff for long periods was actually quite heavy; especially when holding single-leg standing poses or squatting by the water, arm support had to be carefully managed to avoid stiff compositions.

Speaking of which, for the shots taken while squatting near the water, although the terrain was a bit messy, the rippling reflections from the shallow water cast a clear, translucent sheen onto the white fabric. In particular, the combination of White tights cosplay and ankle boots greatly flattered the leg lines, presenting very clean color tones against the backdrop of outdoor woodlands and dried grass. In between, we also took several indoor lighting shots with a minimalist altar-style setup—white candles, Roman columns, and a dimmed environment with a single top light beaming down. That quiet, subtly sacred ambiance resonated perfectly with the character setting. During the shoot, I deliberately found a low angle looking up toward the light source with my hand resting naturally over my chest, aiming for a vulnerable yet steadfast feeling.

While these final shots look effortlessly lyrical, the process required considerable endurance. To catch that fleeting natural sunlight filtering through the treetops, I had to squat in the brush and constantly adjust my position, leaving red marks on my calves from rubbing against dried grass. Fortunately, the performance of the Sony A7C2 combined with the 50mm F1.4 GM focal length created wonderful subject separation; the creamy bokeh from the wide aperture turned the woods behind into an oil-painting-like backdrop. Regarding details, there is actually a behind-the-scenes snapshot included where the white blanket on the ground and scattered shoes look very down-to-earth. Many thought it was a final photo, but it was just a casual shot taken during a break while I was marking my leg with a marker pen. Because white tights are hard to clean immediately after getting grass and mud stains, I drew a mark to help locate retouching spots later—a fun little blooper from behind the scenes.

Finally, for makeup, I intentionally chose a soft foundation and blush paired with a fluffy golden wig to soften any harsh edges, adding warmth and cuddly sweetness. The sea breeze remained gentle, wrapping the entire shoot in a soothing rhythm. Being able to present such a detailed, light-and-shadow-rich Cosplay photography work to everyone brings a deep sense of artistic and personal fulfillment, even if it was physically exhausting.
