I've finally plucked up the courage to bring out the raw photos of this Kamisato Ayaka set taken during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday to share with everyone.

This time, I chose to try the White Heron Sakura look. To be honest, I've always felt very apprehensive about this character. I always feel like I can't quite capture her cold and noble temperament, and before every shoot, I fall into deep self-doubt, terrified that the presented effect will deviate too much from the charm of the original work.

When I got the wig, the ice-blue hair strands with double buns and long sidelocks heavily tested the stylist's skill. The side features light blue cloth square ornaments decorated along the edges with tiny gold-and-blue beads, plus that pink woven rope knot with draping tassels, and white feather-like decorations with a shimmering texture—layered with so many details. The makeup artist, Xiaolan, paid special attention to the details of the eye makeup, softening the visual effect of the blue colored contacts. Combined with the light blush and lip color, it made the entire face look translucent yet dimensional. The fluffy white collar and blue neck guard paired with orange-yellow piping are not only very layered visually but also highly eye-catching in the night scene.

This shoot was conducted at night. Photographer Yu Jiuan combined the red-lit wooden lattice background with the character, cooperating with floating pink petals to create an ethereal and dreamlike atmosphere. A night portrait actually heavily tests the layout of lighting; it must not only ensure the clarity of the main subject but also balance the warm light in the environment. In terms of light and shadow processing, the photographer created a beautiful glowing effect along the edges of the hair and the fluffy sections, instantly peeling the character's silhouette away from the dark background. The scattering positions of the petals were also designed, capturing both sharp moments and lens-blurred bokeh, giving the frame a very dynamic feel for this piece of cosplay photography.

My friends previously suggested that I crop the photos into vertical images to post. P1 and P2 are the cropped close-up versions. Vertical images can indeed better focus on the character's gaze and clothing details, carrying a stronger visual impact, which is perfect for social platforms. However, P3 as the raw image actually preserves the most complete on-site composition information, showing the structure of the wooden lattice and the overall distribution of the petals, carrying a larger amount of information.

Next, I will devote myself to the fine retouching of the final photos. My current small goal is to finish editing the entire set before the character's birthday. Although I'm still a bit worried about the final presentation effect in my heart, the shooting process itself was full of fun. Being able to shoot my favorite character during the Mid-Autumn holiday and meeting such a professional makeup and photography team is already an amazing experience.

When editing the photos, I will pay attention to preserving the texture of the fluffy costume and the atmospheric feel of the night, while appropriately adjusting the facial light and shadow to better blend the blue-and-white color palette with the pink petals. Since we've already shot it, I'll work hard to present the most satisfying work.
