[Aemeath Cosplay] This white outfit and pink hair look from Wuthering Waves was seriously tough to shoot

Shooting this set for Aemeath from Wuthering Waves was quite a challenge because the details on the outfit were remarkably intricate. The predominantly white color scheme accented with gold trim, a black inner lining, and deep blue ribbons photographed with exceptional textural finesse. The pink hair was unusually long and demanding to manage, requiring painstaking adjustments to drape naturally across my chest and back in distinct layers. The mecha wing prop on my back was absurdly heavy, demanding constant awareness of my balance while posing to keep fatigue from throwing off my posture.

The studio lighting was specifically set with a purple-blue-pink gradient ambient glow, which matched the character's aura flawlessly. The most carefully thought-out element of the entire costume design was pairing the leg ring with the white long boots over stockings, a combination that visually elongated the leg line. We experimented with various angles before selecting this seated pose as the hero shot, as the light hit my body just right, accentuating the leg contours and the layered gradient pleats of the skirt while centering me in the frame. Posing with the mechanical gear prop also demanded care to avoid snagging the fabric, while the long white gloves lent an extra touch of grace and refinement to every gesture.

The shoot itself was quite intense, requiring multiple pauses to reposition the wig. This look puts high demands on body proportions, and maintaining the right facial expression—balancing a cool, distant demeanor with subtle sweetness—took genuine focus. In particular, the white long boots and leg ring on the thighs paired with the miniskirt looked stunning under the studio lights. All in all, it was a dedicated collaboration, with the photographer lying beside the props the whole time to direct the framing for every backward glance and profile shot. Despite the long hours, seeing the final images made all the effort worthwhile. Given how prone white materials are to scuffs and stains, we had to remain extremely cautious throughout the day.
