The black pleated skirt features a crisp white stripe along the hemline, echoing visually with the white platform boots. During the shoot, the combination of white platform boots and black over-the-knee socks not only elongated leg lines, but also added an authentic anime street aesthetic. The long-sleeved cut of the sailor top was very helpful for showcasing hand gestures—the sleeves are loose without looking bulky. The inner layer has a patterned graphic top; when coordinating the pieces, we made sure the front bow tie hung in its most natural drop.
The white platform boots with black lug treads carry a strong visual presence. To match this JK uniform, I specifically chose a pair with the ideal height. Sourcing this prop was quite an adventure—to stay faithful to the character, I tracked down this specific packaging shape and wrapped it in custom-printed stickers so it holds up even under close inspection. Serving as a bridge between character and viewer, I adjusted its placement in the frame multiple times: held casually in one hand in Photo 1, and offered forward with both hands toward the camera in Photo 2 for stronger interactivity.
The studio lighting utilized soft diffused light, making the light pink hair and skin look remarkably textured. Clean shadow management emphasized overall freshness. The neutral gray studio backdrop eliminated visual clutter, focusing attention squarely on the character. Despite the minimalist backdrop, emotional expression needed to be nuanced.
