[Misaki cosplay] Blue Archive Gym Uniform Real-scene studio shooting Log

This set of gym uniform Misaki shot at Ashime Studio is my most satisfying Cosplay photoshoot in a real-scene studio recently. The set design for this gym room was executed so well—from the wooden floor and metal lockers to the number plates on the wall and sunflower decorative paintings on the shelves, the attention to detail is packed, perfectly creating the everyday atmosphere of a school club room.

Regarding styling, the most recognizable element is probably this unique head accessory. The silver-grey crescent-shaped ornament on top of the head has a unique shape and needed to be secured very tightly so it wouldn't slip. The blue-black butterfly hair clips and bun paired with deep blue-black short hair create rich layers. To recreate this hair texture and the slight inward curl of the bangs, trimming the wig took quite a bit of effort; thankfully, the final fluffiness and silhouette turned out ideal. The makeup artist aligned with the character's personality and hair color, opting for clean eye makeup that emphasizes contours. Using darker eyeshadow added depth to the eyes without excessive color layering, making the overall look sharper and more energetic.

As for clothing, a white sporty gym uniform with dark blue trim was selected. Although the style is basic, the cut is crucial, with piping on the collar and cuffs forming a great color response to the hair. The white over-the-knee socks paired on the lower half have a semi-matte, subtly translucent texture. Combined with the gym setting, wearing this outfit naturally brings an immersive athletic girl vibe. During the shoot, photographer 超弦 was especially adept at utilizing onsite props. For instance, in the seated shot in photo two, we used an orange stool and tried a pose with a hand gently resting against the chin and the body slightly turned. Rather than exaggerated movements, this seemingly casual yet slightly playful seated posture better matched her composed yet mysterious aura.

There's also a standing glance-back photo where a gentle body twist extends the lines of the gym uniform and over-the-knee socks seamlessly. We also spontaneously added the black padded vaulting horse prop on the left; although not fully in frame, it enhanced the thematic sense of the scene. The best part of Real-scene studio shooting lies in the inherent narrative of the environment itself. The white lockers behind, storage cardboard boxes on shelves, and even a yellow basketball in the corner became vivid life elements, keeping photos from feeling empty or stiff.

Lighting control was kept soft for this shoot. The photographer used softboxes for facial fill light, spreading illumination smoothly without harsh contrast, which fits high school youth Anime-style photography perfectly while keeping skin translucent and glowing. This allowed fine details in wig, clothing, and sock textures to be delicately preserved. Everyone collaborated in sync throughout the process; although certain areas in final images used pink masks due to platform compliance rules, the actual completion of the set is extremely high.

While chatting with the photographer in the studio, we tried to capture Misaki's quiet composure on the surface combined with that subtle inner flutter. I feel the everyday feel of the gym uniform perfectly balances the distinct posture in her character lore, making her feel more relatable. The gym room setting at Ashime Studio is truly top-tier—props are readily usable on the fly, yielding authentic vibes without needing complex post-processing. This shooting experience gave me a deeper understanding of the character and allowed me to experience the convenience and high-quality output of Real-scene studio shooting.
