[Shu Cosplay] Arknights Hypergryph Carnival Debut Record

Hypergryph Carnival is tomorrow, and after rushing against time, I've finally locked down the complete styling for Shu's default skin. To closely capture the calm yet ethereal charm from the original artwork, the wig's color layering and bangs curve were fine-tuned repeatedly. The silver, light gold, and vibrant blue highlights on the temples achieve excellent color fidelity under natural light. The horns and headpiece at the top are secured firmly; to handle tomorrow's heavy crowds at the carnival, I specially added several extra clips to prevent them from slipping during poses.

The main body of the costume features a white base fabric accented with green beaded strings and metallic buckles, making the overall Cosplay outfit feel rich and substantial. While appearing cool and elegant, the layered fabrics and heavy accessories carry considerable weight, requiring good posture to maintain an upright presence while walking. To ensure peak condition tomorrow, I reinforced the chest straps and sleeve stitching details again today to prevent anything from loosening or shifting during movement and posing.

Makeup details were also meticulously crafted; to achieve that otherworldly and aloof gaze from the original art, the base makeup was given a soft matte finish. The eye makeup focused on elongating the outer corners and soft color blending, which, combined with light-colored contact lenses, rendered the pupil tone exceptionally clear and luminous. Putting this look together required significant effort, but looking into the mirror, the character's cool yet compassionate aura truly came to life.

As a veteran Arknights player, Shu's backstory and design philosophy are aspects I deeply admire, so having the opportunity to cosplay her default skin at Hypergryph Carnival makes me thrilled. Tomorrow morning I plan to arrive early to scout the venue for corners with great lighting. After all, convention lighting is notoriously messy with alternating overhead and ambient light, and only the right angle will showcase the wig's luster and fabric textures to their absolute best under light reflections.

On that note, calling out to all photographers at the venue tomorrow! I've specifically practiced numerous prop gestures and interactive poses this time, which should look immensely cinematic in candid captures. With well-controlled shooting angles, the contrast between the green beaded accents and white fabric will pop beautifully under light and shadow, preserving that composed yet ethereal feel of her default skin on camera. Hand coordination with props has always been a worry for me—especially prop placement angles, which must be balanced to avoid blocking facial contours—so I plan to try several standing poses to enrich the final shot variety.

Although this costume appears free of overly complex elements on the surface, the craftsmanship requirements are actually very high—from pattern tailoring and accessory coordination to specific wig curves and highlight ratios, every detail underwent meticulous iteration. As an Arknights cosplayer, I hope to present this character in peak condition tomorrow and immerse myself alongside fellow fans in the unique world created by Hypergryph at the Arknights carnival.
