This shoot features Misono Mika in her gymnastics uniform version from Blue Archive. The main reason for selecting this outfit was that it preserves the character's signature pink hairstyle while infusing the energetic vibe of a sports setting. The relaxed white short-sleeved gym top features dark blue piping along the collar and cuffs, emblazoned with a clean school emblem across the chest. Visually refreshing, this design fits seamlessly into the everyday atmosphere of a high school girl's P.E. class.

For styling, the bottoms consist of dark athletic shorts paired with white thigh-high socks and a thigh strap. This single-side thigh strap design is an iconic 2D character element; during wear, tightness needs careful calibration to fit leg contours without creating harsh indentation marks while ensuring it doesn't slip down during movement. The socks are made from breathable white fabric that not only refines leg proportions but also produces a soft, diffuse light reflection under indoor natural lighting, keeping the lower half's visual profile crisp and clean.

Beyond the core outfit, the true soul of this look lies in the white feathered wings on the back. However, during the shoot, these wings posed the biggest hurdle—especially when using a stainless steel ball rack as our primary prop scene, where feathers easily snagged between metal bars. I had to keep my core tight at all times, scouting the optimal center of gravity to balance leg poses with winged expansion.

The location for the shoot was near an indoor gymnasium equipment room. The background stainless steel storage rack was filled with colorful volleyballs, basketballs, and footballs, enriching color contrast while accentuating the pure simplicity of the blue-and-white gym outfit. Crisp, elongated shadows from high side windows stretched across the wooden floor, establishing a warm, bright tone for the frame. I deliberately posed seated along the rim of the rack, extending my legs naturally to leverage perspective for longer leg lines. This relaxed posture preserved the character's sporty aura while highlighting details like the White thigh-highs outfit and thigh strap.

Behind the scenes, unexpected minor hiccups occurred. The voluminous pink twin-bun wig looked adorable but easily loosened stray hairs during movement, requiring repeated combing and fixing. The wings also demanded delicate handling, even when adjusting clothes, to prevent feathers from scraping nearby objects in tight indoor spaces. Thanks to the photographer's precise control over side-backlighting and fill angles, we captured several beautifully lit frames. Dappled sunlight hitting my face and white thigh-highs brought out Misono Mika's playful cuteness. While Gymnastics uniform cosplay is common, conveying a character's unique lightness and academic charm is no easy feat.
