[Mostima cosplay, Fiammetta cosplay, Lemuen cosplay, Exusiai cosplay] Arknights Laterano Full Squad Assemble - Image 1

Today I'm sharing the full cosplay set of Laterano's quartet: Mostima, Fiammetta, Lemuen, and Exusiai. This shoot chose an abandoned industrial area as the backdrop, where heavy concrete and rust-colored stairs contrasted perfectly with the sharp black-and-white tactical attire of the Laterano characters. I played Mostima for this shoot, while the other three were guest-starred by @lioooooo, @叙拉古黑帮尚雪兔, and @落潮.

Industrial outdoor locations usually demand a lot from lighting, but the light conditions that day were quite good without harsh direct sunlight, giving post-processing more room to add halo effects. We brought three heavy props for this shoot: a long sniper rifle, a large geometric ring staff, and a stunningly massive tactical firearm. Honestly, handling such large props during transportation and posing was a real test of stamina, especially holding the long sniper suspended in the air to complement the composition, which required tight core and arm strength.

Regarding costume design, the Laterano theme leans heavily into techwear and tactical styles, dominated by black, white, and red. To restore the spirit of these characters, the wigs were carefully trimmed—especially Mostima's blue hair and Fiammetta's red hair, where hair strands needed distinct layers in photos. The halos above the four characters' heads are the true soul of the look. In post-processing, we meticulously adjusted the glowing intensity and edge perspective of the halos to ensure the lighting effects were distinct without overpowering the subject.

Looking at composition breakdown, Mostima took a squatting pose holding her staff, which nicely showcased her lower body line. Paired with bare legs and the black-and-white jacket against the industrial stairs, she looked sharp and tall. Fiammetta, carrying the giant firearm in a semi-crouch, was paired with starburst lighting effects radiating from both sides, instantly maximizing her combat presence. Exusiai leaned against a chain-link fence, framing the viewer's gaze with her sniper aiming pose, where her eye contact and aiming line created a story. Lemuen looking back on the orange stairs carried great tension as well—standing at a higher spot, her downward gaze fit her character persona remarkably well.

For post-processing, extensive frame-by-frame adjustments were made around halos, geometric light effects, and wing-shaped energy bands. The purple wing-shaped special effect in particular took significant effort when handling transparency and edge highlight reflections. The overall color tone leaned cool; to highlight a futuristic and mechanical feel, I slightly lowered green saturation while preserving contrast between orange-yellow and blue-purple, seamlessly merging industrial harshness with 2D glamour.

The synergy during the shoot was also very interesting. Because everyone's props took up considerable space, the photographer and reflector positions kept shifting to give each of the four characters their proper visual focus. Sometimes for a single angle, we repeatedly climbed up and down steel frame ladders, swapping off-balance poses again and again. Although exhausting throughout—especially keeping arms and waist constantly tensed—seeing the final quality made it all worthwhile.

In the Cosplay community, challenging a group shoot is always a special experience. It tests not only individual costume and makeup accuracy, but also team chemistry and coordination. With clear division of labor and different prop weights, we staggered everyone's standing heights using the site's elevation drops to create a balanced, layered composition. Experiences gained from actual shooting like this are far more valuable than simply looking at reference photos.

In summary, this Laterano theme was a solid endeavor for me. The props had great texture, and costume details like shoulder straps and velcro accurately matched character designs. The industrial photography base was also a huge plus, with coarse metallic textures accentuating the characters' tough demeanor. Anyone interested in gear details can check out the full-res photos for textures and hand poses. That wraps up this shoot record—looking forward to challenging new themes and venues with this level of dedication next time.
